Very reliable and good sound quality but small detail

I bought one of these when I first had the experience of working without cable. Because it's for the boom mic I thought range would be not a problem and it isn't. The plug does exactly what I expected of it. One small thing which I don't know of if it's my fault or not but a few weeks ago I noticed some oxidation on the rings of the tip. Because the top ring was rusting a bit, I carefully rubbed it with some oil.
