Als ich ihn nach zwei Tagen ab Bestellung in der Hand hatte... wow!!!
Perfekte Verarbeitung und Finish, unerhört tolle Haptik, ausgewogenes Gewichtsverhältnis.
An der Mackie 15" Aktiv ein unglaublich druckvoller sound, sowohl in den Tiefen wie auch in den Höhen. Durch den integrierten Drei-Band-Equalizer bis ins feinste Detail abstimmbar. Sogar in Passiv-Schaltung ein Genuss. Die Schwingungen spürt man in faszinierender Weise am eigenen Körper, so macht spielen einfach Spaß und verlangt nach noch mehr Zeit, sich mit dem Bass auseinanderzusetzen.
Bin von Ibanez auf Sandberg umgestiegen und kann nur sagen, es hat sich gelohnt, insbesondere unter dem Gesichtspunkt deutscher produktion und Erhalt deutscher Arbeitsplätze.
Keine Frage: 100%ige Zufriedenheit.

Beautiful bass, more beautiful sound.

I've owned the Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 5 for about a month now, I'm loving the instrument more every day.

Looks/Finish:
The RW BKB model has a beautiful matte black finish that shows the grain of the wood in a nice way. The lighter neck with the dark fret board also gives a great look. The neck is very well sanded and feels very soft when sliding up and down.

A little downside is that there is a small spot on the fretboard below the 12th fret, but since wood is a product of nature, this can be forgiven.

The setup was almost perfect out of the box. Minimal fret buzz, great string height.

Sound:
This bass sounds absolutely insane. The sound in the default settings (pre-amp enabled, coil-split disabled, EQ flat, pickup blend centered) is perfect for most uses. It cuts through any mix because of great high end, and it cuts right through the mix in a live setting. If it doesn't, you can always adjust the pre-amp eq settings.

You can however tweak the sound to anything you can imagine. Pbass tone? Disable the preamp and boost the mids. Jbass tone? Enable the coilsplit and blend in the neck pickup.

This bass is so incredibly versatile, making it a perfect bass for anyone playing multiple genres or any studio bassist.

Nach vielen Monaten der Suche habe ich ihn gefunden, den universellen E-Bass für alle Musikrichtungen, der alle Soundmöglichkeiten offen lässt. Ob aktiv oder passiv, ob Humbucker oder Single Coil, ob knurrig oder knallig, ob Begleitung eines symphonischen Blas-Orchesters, einer Blues-Brothers-Combo oder einer Reggae-Band... Mit diesem Instrument kann man überall mithalten. Tolle Verarbeitung, Super-Bespielbarkeit, hochwertige Komponenten und Materialien und das Ganze solide "Made in Germany". Wer auf der Suche nach einem E-Bass ist, der den Vergleich mit seinen amerikanischen Brüdern nicht zu scheuen braucht, sollte dieses Instrument unbedingt mal antesten.

Von der Verarbeitung und der Bespielbarkeit war ich von Anfang an begeistert. Der Sound war mir anfänglich nicht immer so ganz recht.
Saiten gewechselt. Stahl. Immer noch nicht so ganz wie ich mir das vorstellte. Nun habe ich Ernie Ball Regular Slinky drauf...
Hammer!!! Jetzt ist er genau mein Gerät! Sehr zu empfehlen!
