Der Einsatz des Pedals ist als klassischer Overdrive/Boost gedacht. Equipment ist ein Engl Screamer 50. Bisher wurde der mit einem TS9 geboostet.
Im Direktvergleich fällt direkt auf, dass der TS9 den Sound doch leicht ins näselige verformt und das Revv eben nicht. Der Grundsound vom Amp bleibt tatsächlich unangetastet.

Dafür schiebt er vor allem die Hochmitten nach vorne, was dieses eigentlich für Kompressoren typische "Glitzern" im Ton erzeugt.
Ergebnis ist, eine deutlich hörbare Erhöhung der Transparenz und Saitentrennung im Higain.
Ich habe mich selten so gut in der Bandprobe mit 2 Gitarren gehört.

Dazu ist das Pedal deutlich rauschärmer als das TS9. Heisst, ich konnte mein Noisegate deutlich runterschrauben.
Feedbacks sind deutlich kontrollierbarer geworden und auch der Leadchannel ist jetzt deutlich einfacher bespiel- und händelbar.

Die Einstellung ist intuitiv, wenn man sich im Vorfeld kurz über die Grundfunktionen schlau gemacht hat.
Verarbeitung wirkt relativ robust, dennoch ist das Pedal sehr, sehr leicht.

Alles in allem bin ich mega glücklich mit dem Ergebnis und obwohl ich den TS9 nach wie vor grundsätzlich mag, ist das Revv ein echtes Upgrade.
