LA's Sound guru Bob Bradshaw, who developed the Custom Audio pedals, has married MXR and so its quality treasures now run under this Name. The MC-401 Custom Audio Electronics Booster is the right solution for guitarists whose amp actually already has an optimal sound but could just use a bit more gain. Overdrives and treble booster would bend the frequency response, which is not always a desirable effect. The MXR has been getting it right for years - without distorting the sound it gives the amp just the kick that it was missing; ideal for bringing out old Marshalls, Fenders and Voxes, creating a strong lead sound without bending their beloved signature sound. Adjustable from 0 to 20 d.

Il vero clean booster

Ero da tempo alla ricerca di un clean booster che aumentasse semplicemente il volume senza colorare il suono dello strumento, e finalmente l'ho trovato. Estremamente facile da controllare grazie alla manopola molto sensibile e con un led ben visibile. Davvero ottimo, considerato anche il costo.

Boost your sound!

Un booster senza se e senza ma, aggiunge quel volume in più necessario per i soli, ma senza cambiare il suono in modo sensibile.
Regolato al massimo tuttavia lo colorisce un po' rendendolo più squillante su certe frequenze.
Ottimo anche per boostare suoni clean.

Prodotto fantastico. Fa quel che deve e lo fa perfettamente. Solido ed efficace, alza il volume ma senza snaturare in alcun modo il suono, sia sui puliti sia sui super distorti.

Amazingly clean booster + handy buffer all in one pedal

I bought the MC-401 for my Bass pedal board, as I usually play clean bass sound and sometime add some colours i needed a very clean booster but... I was also looking for a buffer .. this pedal gave me all that i was looking in a sturdy well made pedal case. I run this pedal at the very end of my pedal board chain.... The sound in the output is very clean, when in true bypass its own buffer is very handy with long cable run (you can hear the difference bypassing this pedal).

The only two things I would change in this pedal (but only for personal feel) is the foot-switch which is kind of too hard and you have to step on on it fully to turn on the unit.. some people like to go hard on top and the light is too bright for my eyes (I`ve placed a white tape on top so I can still see the operation light)

Overall this booster is the cleanest I ever owned and I can enhance my runs or solos without any lost or change in my original Bass sound
