What a belter

I bought this head as an upgrade to my MB 250 Blackline. I needed more headroom and this brings it in bucketloads. It could blow the arse out of the cat.
I’ve paired it with a 102 and 104 MB cab. It sounds lush. The crisp, clean MB sound but allowing the personality of my bass to come through.

Juste parfait !

Je souhaitais abandonner la formule combo car tout ce que j’avais pu tester jusqu’à présent ne me satisfaisait pas, notamment en puissance et en rendement. Je cherchais donc une amplification avec tête d’ampli et baffle séparés puissante (ce qui est souvent synonyme de gros rendement) et très droite pour respecter les sons de mes basses.

Pour avoir testé longuement en répétition et en live un ensemble Markbass Ninja qui m’a convaincu mais pour lequel je n’étais pas fan des réglages VLE et VPF, je me suis orienté vers cette marque.

Dès que j’ai vu que Markbass avait sorti cette nouvelle tête signée Andrew Gouchè, j’étais convaincu que c’était l’amplification qu’il me fallait. Et je ne suis pas déçu !
Associée à un corps Markbass 104 HR 8 Ohms le son et la puissance sont au rendez-vous. Les réglages d’égalisation sont bien choisis au niveau des fréquences et sont très efficaces. On peut sculpter le son à loisir avec beaucoup de finesse.
J’apprécie aussi le Mute et le limiteur.
Je vais l’associer rapidement à un baffle 112 Ninja en 8 Ohms ce qui me permettra d’exploiter pleinement ses 1000 W.

Je recommande vraiment cette tête d’ampli si on recherche un son droit et respectueux des instruments, de la puissance, du rendement et un beau son moderne. Même si l’on souhaite un son plus rond, vintage ou avec beaucoup de médiums, l’égalisation le permettra.

Seul petit bémol, il est dommage qu’elle ne soit pas livrée avec une housse de transport.

Bluesrock Hammer Sound mit Markbass

Nach jahrelangem rumprobieren mit Hughes+ Kettner, Fender und ein bisschen Hardtke plus Soundzubehör hab ich plötzlich eine Sound-Offenbarung mit Markbass: Sandberg-Bass einstöpseln, anschalten und ohne irgendeinen Hebel zu drehen klingt der Bluesrocksound durch den Probenraum, den ich immer haben wollte, fett, bassig, grummelnd oder samtig, ...total klasse. Die Gebrauchsanweisung ist sehr dürftig, na ja.

Při zapojení do obvodu se slabší pojistkou vyhazuje po zapnutí síť. Zvuk
má charakteristický, spíše rockový, měkký výraz zvuku na jazz se mi nepodařilo nějak uspokojivě nakroutit. Modrá kontrolka svítí agresivně a v potemnělém sále pak není dobře vidět ovládání.Kompaktní, spolehlivý, výkonný.
