This guitar is incredible for the price.
I paid £515, Nov 2022.
Truly a well crafted top instrument.
Plays like a dream. The P90s do exactly what you expect them to do.
The neck and fretboard feel like a guitar worth 3 times the price.
First Sire guitar i've purchased , it won't be the last.
If you want a top instrument at a reasonable price look no further.

I have played Les Paul style guitars for years. Tried them all from the 'big G'. These days I find them way overpriced - especially when you stumble into the guitars from Sire. I was looking for a Les Paul with P90's and based on the excellent reviews everywhere, I decided on this Sire L7v in a beautiful Tobacco Sunburst. I am blown away by the quality right out of the box. Usually, I will have to make some adjustments on a new guitar - action, neck relief, fret polishing, intonation, all the usual stuff. On this one, I didn't have to spend time on that. At this price point, I can't see where you would find anything better than this. Do not hesitate - get one!

Dream-Team: Paula und P-90-Pickups

Die Geschichte ist die: Vor vielen, vielen Jahren hatte ich eine Gibson Les Paul Studio mit P90-Pickups gekauft. Als ich sie zum ersten Mal gespielt hatte, war ich sprachlos. Einen derartigen Sound hatte ich vorher noch nie gehört. Sehr warme Mitten und Höhen, tiefe Bässe und Sustain ohne Ende. Mein erster Gedanke war: Paula und P90 sind offenbar ein Dream-Team. Eigentlich war und bin ich Strat- und Tele-Spieler, aber ich interessiere mich auch immer für Alternativen. Den Zwang zur Wahl zwischen A oder B habe ich nie empfunden. Inzwischen habe ich eine Auswahl unterschiedlicher Gitarren, die alle hervorragend klingen, aber jede auf ihre Art und Weise.
Die Sire Larry Carlton T7V TS ist so eine Gitarre. Sie überzeugt durch ihre Materialien, ihre Konstruktion und Verarbeitung, ihre Spielbarkeit und ihren Sound. Mich erinnert sie an die Gibson Les Paul Studio mit P90-Pickups, die mich damals nach den ersten Akkorden aus den Socken gehauen hatte. Der Sound ist phänomenal warm, mittig und bass-stark. Die abgerundeten Griffbrett-Kanten und der mattierte Hals sind beste Voraussetzungen für ein völlig entspanntes Spiel.
Die meisten Specs der Gitarre sind durch Online-Medien bekannt. Für den Gitarren-Anfänger mögen Locking-Tuner ein Vorteil sein, ich persönlich brauche sie nicht. Der Zeitgewinn beim Saitenwechsel ist gering, wenn man schon viele Hunderte Saiten aufgezogen hat, und die Stimmstabilität ist nicht besser als bei anderen Mechaniken. Das einzige, was ich ändern würde, sind die Poti-Knöpfe. Sie passen farblich zwar gut, sind mir aber zu klein und zu glatt. Da gibt es heute bessere Varianten. Ansonsten aber ein tolles Instrument zu einem mehr als moderaten Preis. Übrigens: Das ist meine zweite Sire Larry Carlton, und ich bin mit beiden ziemlich happy!
