K&K Trinity Pro Mini System

Ho acquistato il k&k perchè avevo bisogno di migliorare il suono della mia Martin Gpcpa4, dato che il fishman su di essa montato produceva un suono troppo artificiale per le mie necessità. Che dire? il suono è eccezionale. Il sistema doppio mostra però il fianco a delle problematiche che richiedono degli accorgimenti:

Suono su palchi in formazioni per lo più acustiche, in situazioni dove i microfoni sui palchi si sprecano. Il microfono interno alla cassa in questi casi è davvero difficile da gestire: Feedback e inneschi sono molto facili, e se non si può contare su fonici preparati e disponibili, isolare e tamponare questi problemi e salvaguardare il suono può creare qualche grattacapo. i tappi per le buche invece rendono il suono del microfono interno davvero cavernoso, rendendo praticamente inutile il suo utilizzo. La soluzione in questi casi è spesso, purtroppo, spegnere del tutto il microfono e affidarsi esclusivamente ai pickup. Che producono comunque un suono ben piu' gradevole del sistema fishman che la mia Martin montava di partenza. Quando poi per convergenza astrale, tra fonico capace ed equalizzatore in uscita, si riesce ad usare e miscelare correttamente il sistema pickup+microfono, il suono che ne esce lascia a bocca aperta.

Sistema di amplificazione semplicemente superbo, strepitoso e irraggiungibile. Il meglio del meglio. I trasduttori sotto il ponte sono talmente di qualità da regalare un suono acustico più che buono semplicemente collegati con un jack mono ad un ampli valvolare per elettrica. Solamente questo basta à considerare il prodotto eccellente. Usando tutto il sistema di preamplificazione si ottiene un suono acustico fedelissimo. C'è anche la possibilità di gestire trasduttore e microfono su due canali diversi in modo da poter equalizzare tutto al meglio. Più di questo non so che dire.
Semplicemente ineguagliabile.

I had this installed in my Lowden equipped with Fishman Natural one piezo pickup. For big gigs I use the blend of all three, which gives a great, full sound. I spent a while playing with mic position and the preamp setting the gain and EQ knobs inside. Excellent option since all guitars would react differently to the settings.
Often I use just one signal. I run a mono cable and use the passive pure mini together with l.r. baggs session DI, which gives a great combination. I forget what a battery is and never worry whether it's full enough. The sound guys were amazed how natural the guitar sounds.
100% of recommendation for this system.

I saw this set in Beppe Gambetta's guitar. He uses with the Quantum blender, but majority of the controls are in here too - even it's not to easy to reach. But that's the price of the portability.

The transducer is the best you can get. No feedback, good sound. That's a solid 5star product - honestly, if you playing plugged, this part is enough to have.

Mic: I use rarely, it has way lower output than the transducer, so fiddling a bit with the gain control is crucial. Blending to the transducer, even slightly, it gives body to the tone. The problem is: it's microphone, so you'll get feedback issues.

Preamp:
CONS
- Would be good to have a notch filter (see Fishman ProBlend) for the mic.
- In case of slapping the strings at the bridge, it clips out the system - that i did not experienced from the Radial PZ-Pre.
PROS
+ portability. Small, well engineered, stable.
+ easy to use - if you're familiar with trimmer pots. :)
+ no battery in the guitar!

Cable: change it please immediately. Very cheap, and not fit perfectly to the guitar plug. Get a good L-shaped stereo plug for the guitar side.
