Tweed on a budget

Really excellent little amp that is quite loud, Don't be fooled. I have this, the Zombie and the BlueJay - all good but the Tweedy floats my boat the most. Great prices on these amps and very versatile. I have changed the tube but didn't really notice any effect. They have an led in the middle of the tube socket holder to simulate heater glow. Very funny. Looks good. The amp looks good too and sounds brilliant. My friend has a Blues Jnr. that blew up so he took out the amp and put 2 (!) BlueJays in it's place - one for backup! Sounds like the original. These are a best buy.

Tweedy kompakt, leicht, handlich. Tone!

ich habe den Tweedy mir geholt, weil ich einen leicht zu transportierenden Verstärker für die gelegentlichen Proben mit einer Jazzband
und zum Üben zu Hause brauchte. Es sollte einen Effektloop haben, damit ich meinen Headrush Pedalboard anschließen könnte,
und es sollte nach Möglichkeit auch noch gut klingen, vor allem im cleanen Bereich.
Tweedy überzeugte mich absolut, all die Merkmale die ich brauche, bringt es mit.
Ich betreibe es mit einer Harley Benton 1x12 Box mit einem Jensen Tornado Lautsprecher.
Damit bleiben der Amp und die Box unter 7 kg, ist überschaubar und kompakt.
Die Lautstärke ist für ein Trio ausreichend, für eine Bigband wäre es evtl. zu leise, dann könnte man es zusätzlich über PA verstärken.
Es hat einen zweiten Kanal für die Verzerrung, damit sind angezerrte, bluesige Sounds möglich.
Außerdem kann man eine Bluetooth Soundquelle anschließen für eine Jamrunde zwischendurch, eine nette option.
Dank der Röhre ist der Sound warm und dynamisch. Die Nebengeräusche halten sich in Grenzen, auch wenn der Amp voll aufgedreht ist.
Es gibt auf youtube ein Video von Jonathan Koh, es ist empfehlenswert, um einen Eindruck vom Sound zu bekommen.
Wenn es einen Speakon Anschlüß und ein internes Netzteil hätte, wäre es für mich perfekt.
Der Preis ist soweit in Ordnung, bin mit dem Kauf zufrieden.
Eine Anmerkung zum Joyo Gigbag, den ich mir für den Amp bestellt habe, es passt leider nicht zum Tweedy,
evtl. ist es für andere Modelle gedacht, beim Tweedy kann der Deckel nicht zugemacht werden

Petit mais efficace !

J'utilise cette tête d'ampli depuis près de 6 mois et j'en suis très satisfait. Les sons clean sont très convaincants de même que le crunch de ce même canal. Les sons saturés sont également très plaisants ( A tel point que je me sert rarement de mes pedales OD et distortion). Je l'utilise au quotidien sur un BC108 de Vox (HP de 8 pouces) et au niveau puissance ça envoi pas mal pour du 20 Watts. J'ai eu l'occasion de le brancher sur un Peavey Black Widow de 15 pouces et je n'ai pas pu monter beaucoup le volume tellement ça sonne fort !
Il prend très bien les pedales en façade et la boucle d'effet est de qualité également.
Enfin le bluetooth est un vrai plus pour moi qui utilise beaucoup de Backing track.
Bref je recommande vivement cette tête d'ampli. Super rapport qualité / prix
