iConnectivity mioXC

1. iConnectity mioXC is a great piece of tool which helps you to connect your NON USB gear (sound moduls, processors, light machine..) to laptop, tablet/windows/android.
For example, with MobileSheetsPro application for android/windows you can control all your midi set up, change MSB, LSB..program change, turn pages, songs, midi, audio files...
No need for drivers, instalation...works fluidly with Windows 10, Android (tested).
2. iConnectity mioXC is a tool of cheapest plastic, cable and conectors (Midi Din Connectors especially) I've ever seen...and I'm asking why!!?? It's not cheap that much...Sorry guys from iConnectivity..but!!!
3. But..when you turn your equipment on...and everything is syncronized as you programed earlier, it'll put a smile on your face!!
You'll forget about rule 2 immediately.
4. Buy 2 pieces if you can afford, especially if you are active gigging musician and have to set up your gear very often.
Rating 5 stars is for that smile.
And finally...10 stars for Thomann for delivering 4 days before the deadline in these specific times.

I bought this midi converter as my old Roland Um-One was not compatible with a new Macbook. The cable worked immediately with no issues, and was instantly recognised by my DAW / laptop.
I've been using the cable for a few weeks now, and have experienced no issues at all.
The USB-C connection is really handy when using a MacBook as no hub / adapter is necessary, and for anyone using a standard USB port, an adapter is included which although this adapter first appears a little cheap looking, it works well and provides a secure connection.
The cable has no LED indicator lights like the Roland UM-One cables do on the central box, but this isn't really necessary to the functioning.
Does exactly what's needed, and at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Ich habe mir das mioXC gekauft weil ich einen Midi-Controller habe, der zwar schon einen USB-Anschluss besitzt aber trotzdem nicht mit meinen Android-Geräten sprechen will. Ich hatte den Controller schon abgeschrieben als ich herausgefunden habe, daß dieses nette Teil existiert und hab's einfach mal ausprobiert. Es gibt auch ein ähnliches Gerät direkt von Thomann, allerdings habe ich im Netz gelesen daß einige Nutzer Probleme hatten dies mit Android-Geräten zum Laufen zu bekommen, weshalb ich mich schlußendlich für das mioXC entschieden habe auch wenn es ein paar Euro mehr kostet - am Ende muß es halt funktionieren.

Die Installation ist extrem einfach, einfach die beiden Midi-Stecker in die Midi-IN und Midi-OUT-Ports des Controllers packen und das USB-Ende geht entweder in einen Computer oder über einen USB-OTG-Adapter (wichtig, es muß OTG sein, sonst funktioniert das ganze nicht) in ein Android-Tablet oder Telefon. Und das war's dann. Musiksoftware auf auf dem Androiden anschalten und geht sofort, keine Treiber oder Einstellungen sind nötig. Das war wirklich beeindruckend, speziell nachdem ich ungefähr eine Woche lang erfolglos versucht hab meinen Midi-Controller per USB direkt am Telefon zu betreiben.

Falls es auf Anhieb nicht funktioniert, probiert einfach mal die Midi-Stecker zu tauschen, ich weiss auch immer nie ob der mit "IN" beschriftete Stecker in den IN-Port oder den OUT-Port gehört, aber wenn's nicht funktioniert, einfach tauschen und dann sollte es rennen.

Weil das mioXC vom Telefon mit Strom versorgt wird, braucht man auch keine zusätzliche Stromversorgung. Die Verarbeitung ist angemessen, wenn auch nicht sonderlich schick. Das Gerät soll lt. Hersteller auch mit iOS und Macs funktionieren, das konnte ich allerdings nicht ausprobieren, da ich keine derartigen Geräte habe.

Zusammenfassend ist das mioXC eine superLösung um alte oder störrische Midi-Geräte mit deinem Mobilgerät oder PC/Mac zu verbinden.
