Excellente "petite" guitare offset.

Une très bonne surprise que cette Harley Benton JA-60CC LH Seafoam Green.
Sa forme de type Offset fait plus qu'évoquer la Jazzmaster mais sa sonorité s'en éloigne un peu, car le son de ses micros Roswell est plus épais (ce qui pour moi est un avantage...) et de plus, elle ne possède pas le vibrato spécifique de son modèle d'inspiration (remplacé ici par un Tune O Matic).
Parmi ses particularités, on peut souligner un corps légèrement plus petit que celui d'une Jazzmaster.
Le modèle que j'ai en ma possession, présente une touche en laurier très dense, ainsi qu'un frettage parfait. Les mécaniques font bien leur travail & la finition ne présente aucun défaut. Seule critique selon mon goût : les boutons de tone et de volume vraiment moches (couleur et plastique), que j'ai aussitôt remplacés.
Après quelques légers ajustements (hauteur du chevalet et des micros, intonation), cette guitare m'enchante par sa sonorité et son confort de jeu. Au point même, que j'en ai commandé une autre d'une teinte différente, afin de pouvoir la modifier un peu.

Beautiful and well built...

and faceted sounds possible. Including warm and jazzy ones.

Not really different than the similar model HB Jazzmaster-style in sunburst and in dental-plaque-white (not my preferred colour indeed), but also well built (if not better), perfect colour and paint shop, wonderful neck. Like the recent HB JA in blue.

I never had a "real" Jazzmaster, but I do not miss (and want) at all the knobs and also not the tremolo system there. If you like it (also) pure, this is a good quality option for low price.
