Una bella sorpresa!

Questa chitarra suona benissimo. Arrivata perfettamente intonata e anche il setup generale sembra ok. Probabilmente non sarà necessario fare grossi interventi. Però ho dovuto cambiare subito le corde e pulire i tasti perchè grattavano molto. Comunque rapporto qualità prezzo altissimo.

Incredible value

My first Harley Benton, not sure if I got lucky or if they are all like this, but I am amazed at the quality. I'm in Canada so after shipping and tax it was $585 to my door, which is an unbelievable price for such a well made guitar with stainless steel frets and locking tuners. I got this guitar to keep as a backup for my standard tuned guitar but it will get a lot of playing time. The pickups do sound very good but I'm an EMG guy so I will replace them. My only complaint is that the nut slots are very poorly done. It's actually quite funny that they could be cut so badly simply because the rest of the guitar is so impressive. But the nut is pretty easy to replace. Overall, I am truly amazed that an instrument of this quality can be produced for such a low price. I would not hesitate to purchase this guitar again if I could go back. Well done Thomann!

Good looking guitar with good specs

The paint and finish of the guitar was beautiful. The locking tuners and the hardtail bridge are great for a low-maintenance guitar that could play heavy tones.
There was a paint scuff where the neck was bolted on.
And my biggest complaint is that the volume knob came right off when adjusting the volume.

Une très bonne surprise

Première surprise, cette guitare est très belle : le noir laqué à l'avant et le bois sombre à l'arrière sont de toute beauté. Les finitions sont excellentes, les frettes notamment ne dépassent pas, les mécaniques sont fermes, le sélecteur et les boutons de volumes et tonalité bien positionnés également.
Côté ergonomie, c'est très subjectif, mais pour moi tout tombe parfaitement. La forme du bas de la caisse est anguleuse et tient bien pour jouer assis (contrairement à mon Ibanez arrondie qui a tendance à glisser).
Le poids est tout à fait correct (3,535 kg sur la balance), un poids moyen pour une ST.
La guitare est arrivée parfaitement réglée, je n'ai touché ni au truss rod, ni au chevalet. Mêmes les cordes ont l'air tout à fait correctes, le tirant me convient bien, à voir à l'usage.
Le manche est un classique C tout à fait confortable, le sillet de 42mm classique également, et les 24 frettes sont un vrai plus : deux octaves sur une corde, c'est un petit luxe à ne pas négliger.
Elle tient bien l'accordage, les mécaniques sont fermes et je ne les ai même pas verrouillées pour l'instant.
Côtés micros, rien à redire, les deux humbuckers délivrent un son net et puissant, même si ce n'est pas du haut de gamme, ils font très bien le job. Ils perdent évidemment de la puissance en les splittant, mais rien qui ne puisse être corrigé côté ampli (testé sur un petit Fender Champion 20 W).
Bref, pour le prix, c'est vraiment bluffant, elle n'a rien à envier aux Squiers ou Epiphones qui font le double du prix. Chapeau.
