I tried out a lot of 251 imitations within the £2k range and this by far was the closest and best sounding overall. After some testing, I'm now using it with a BAE 1073MP pre-amp and it sounds great.

Seit vielen Jahren träume ich von einem 251/250 als Ergänzung zu meinem Mojave MA 200 (traumhaft). Das GAP 251 ist ein sehr noble Mikrofon für Frauenstimmen. Nicht umsonst sind viele moderne Songs, von Adele, Katy Perry und Sia über das Teil aufgenommen worden.
Zuvor kaufte ich das Townsend L22 . Auch sehr gut, aber eben auch flacher, zahmer und irgendwie unaufregend.
Da ich aber kompleto zurück in die analoge Welt gehe, was die Aufnahmekette entspricht.. bleib ich beim GAP 251.

Ein traumhaftes Mikrofon, das etwas frischer als das Telefunken klingt und einen kleinen Frequenzausreisser hat.. stört überhaupt nicht weil minimal.
Es liegt im Rahmen der Schwankung in der Serie dass selbst das original hat.
Haitisch sehr schön.. die Spinne ist historisch korrekt, aber eben auch mit diesen gewöhnungsbedürftigen Schnappverschlüssen.

Da ich dass Mikrofon eh nicht mehr von Ständer nehme, ist auch das in Butter.
Tipp.. Gab 251 in einen 1073, dann in einen Bluey 1176 (peaks 3 dp) und danach in einen LA2a. Wenn ein Pultec rumsteht, das auch noch hinterher.
Besser geht es nicht!
