Great sound performance

Great sound performance by Electro Voice. Good look and feel of used materials. Also orderd the protection covers and they have a perfect fit. You need them for transportation. I use the subs with ELX115 for top and that sounds great. Increadable sound for big partys. The complete set is powered with a Electro Voice Q99 and he can handle it. The weight per unit is not to heigh and can be handeld by one person.

For dj ho are looking for a sound system for party from 120 till 300 persons this is a great soundsystem. The order was handeld fast by Thomann an every thing was deliverd within a few days.

Powerful

Powerful sub with a clear and low bass. Not too big, not small either. It's a proper sized sub. Weight wise it's ok. You can even lift it yourself if you have to. Otherwise it's better handled by 2 people.

The bass is powerful. Full, with a good sound to it.
Sounds and looks the part. The EV covers are great.

Un son très propre

Bonjour
J'en possède 4 montés sur 4 PRX 418S. Leurs dimensions s'adaptent parfaitement. Je leur octroie la bande passante 80-150 Hz avec un filtrage numérique en 24 db/oct butterworth.
Leur son est très bon, typique des 38cm. Pas de traînée ou de résonance. La courbe de réponse avec une pente rapide au delà de 120/150 hz est bien retrouvée à l'écoute.
Au niveau des points négatifs, comparé à mes PRX, la grille est plus fine, la peinture aussi, les angles arrières pas assez arrondis ce qui peut les rendre vulnérables et le puissance RMS de 400w un peu juste au regard des 95 db/1w/1m donnés. Bien que j'en fasse une utilisation domestique, je n'ai trouvé le rendement correct, qu'en les doublant sur chaque canal. A nombre de sub égal et plage égale pour test avec les PRX qui sont pourtant des 46cm, l'exigence en terme d'amplification était plus importante bien que l'ampli dédié soit plus de 2x plus puissant par canal que la puissance rms des subs. Je travaille donc maintenant en 4 ohms, en parallèle mono et cela n'a plus rien à voir grâce au couplage. Donc au final, un bon sub, des graves très propres naturellement mais un ampli costaud et un rendement un peu faible seul limité de plus par une puissance rms modeste. Je referais ce choix sans hésiter si c'était à refaire.

Der Subwoofer EKX15S ist super verarbeitet und macht richtig Alarm ich benutze ihn Hauptsächlich bei Mittelgroßen Veranstaltungen zusammen mit 2 EV ELX112 Topteilen und bin nur begeistert von der absoluten Klangquallitet mit richtig satten Bass .
