This monitor is just okay, for the quality, i would say slightly overpriced. The wood material from it is made of is extremely soft, so all kind of small visual damage is inevitable, this is the biggest downside. The sound is okay, QSC CP8 sounds better. Form factor and visual appeal is a plus, it has low profile and looks good on stage.

p.s. The thomann cover for this item is the worst cover i have ever used, its thin, and doesn't protect the unit in any way.

Best stage monitors at the price!

Bought these to use at our cultural centre as floor monitors. I bought three to add to the two existing previous models of db felxsys FM10. Loved those, but love these more, not just for the easier handling and nicer look, I also think they improved the sound, which was pretty great even with the previous models. We also use them as standalone speakers for spoken word at the centre, and they do the job better than most affordable full range PA speakers, except they are smaller, lighter and better to look at. So far, at all our concerts, the wedges always got commented on by singers and musicians who loved them enough to say so without being prompted.

Sehr kompakte Aktiv-Monitore mit gutem Sound

Wir nutzen zwei der Monitore in in einer (moderat lauten) Rockband. Vorab: Bassdrum und Bass laufen bei Auftritten in der Regel nicht darüber, da wir einen Bassamp auf der Bühne haben und nicht so laut spielen, dass wir die Drums singifikant auf dem Monitor brauchen. Bei Online-Proben läuft aber das Bass-Signal darüber, und das geht ganz ordentlich - der Bass kommt mit ordentlichen Tiefmitten und ist damit gut ortbar, ohne zu dröhnen. Die Monitore sind sehr kompakt und so leicht, dass man locker 2 davon mit den untenliegenden Griffschalen gleichzeitig tragen kann. Der Sound ist für die Anwendung als Monitor (subjektiv) gut - Stimmen sind gut zu orten bei sehr geringer Feedback-Neigung, verzerrte Gitarren klingen nicht nervig und ebenfalls gut zu orten. Auch "produziertes" Material - also MP3 - klingt ordentlich. Ich sehe nur zwei kleine Einschränkungen (daher ein Stern Abzug in der Bedienung): Bei Verwendung als Floormonitor stehen Strom- und XLR-Anschluss etwas hervor - da könnte man zumindest im engen Platzverhältnissen schnell mal versehentlich 'drauftreten. Außerdem ist die LED mit dem Betriebsstatus nur von der Seite sichtbar - eine (zweite) LED in der Schallwand wäre sehr hilfreich. Es geht aber auch ohne... Insgesamt bereue ich den Kauf aber nicht, da für mich die positiven Eigenschaften überwiegen.

Habe mir als Besitzer zweier FM10 (Vorgängermodell) mit etwas Bauchweh den Nachfolger bestellt.Genutzt wird das ganze als Monitor bei kleineren Veranstaltungen mit wechselnden Besetzungen und moderaten
Lautstärken. Ich monierte immer am Vorgänger das etwas bedeckte Klangbild. Was der Neue an Transparenz abliefert ist überragend. Bass und Druck vollkommen ausreichend für 10 Zoll Arbeit. Da hat DB nachgelegt ! Die Presets sind wie erwartet einzusetzen. Als Front PA Lautsprecher nur eingeschränkt einsetzbar, da kann ich mir besseres vorstellen. Für Monitoring mit Flexibilität, Klanganspruch Top. Auch optisch ein Sahnestück. Ich empfehle den teureren Kaufpreis zu schlucken ;-)
