Pre-amp / vibrato
Inspired by California amps of the 50s and 60s with real pitch-shifting vibrato circuitry
The Killer V copies the behaviour, the sound and the feel of the preamp, the phase inverter, the power amplifier and the compression / sag of the tube rectification
It manages to emulate not only the overdriven sounds, but also the lower gain / clean sounds of these amps, as well as the LFO and the two phase shift modulation levels, in order to produce a pitch modulation effect that is sound-like that of the originals
As in most original designs, there is also the option of placing the dry (unmodulated) signal parallel to the wet (modulated) signal and thus creating swirling phaser / vibe sounds
Controls: Volume, Master, Depth, Bass, Treble and Speed
Switches: B / N / M (Bright / Normal / Mellow), Wet / Dry Wet
LED: Effect On, Vibrato On
Foot switch: effect bypass, vibrato bypass
Input and output: 6.3 mm jack
Mains adapter connection: Coaxial connection 5.5 x 2.1 mm, negative polarity inside
Current consumption: 45 mA

Sounds in the bunch

Easy to use, well built; preamp colours the sound but not in the way I expected. To me sounds as an Angry Charly or a BritishTrue Tone.

The vibrato is fine. Sounds as expected.

Good construction. Haven't opened its gut yet. But I will.

Insanely good!

I was in need of a decent preamp, and this with it's FET based covered it so well. It's very versatile in it's tone sculpting, and the Vibrato is a fantastic bonus. All crammed into such a small package. I can't recommend it high enough!

Trois pédales en une, tout est top

Cette pédale fait beaucoup de choses, et le fait très bien. Le préampli (obligatoire pour avoir le reste) est excellent ! Il y a assez de réglages et de possibilités (deux réglages aigus et graves sur trois "voix" différentes) pour s'adapter un peu à tout. Il a redonné une personnalité à mon ampli à lampes Harley Benton jusque là trop froid. Le gain est superbe et peut aller jusqu'à la distortion (surtout avec le réglage interne pour avoir plus de gain !) mais ne perd pas en clarté. On est sur un gain vintage, assez typique 60s. Adorant la surf music et le rockabilly, avec ma Telecaster c'est excellent, en donnant un petit côté garage rock supplémentaire en poussant un peu le volume.
En plus de ce préampli la pédale propose un vibrato et un "chorus" en mixant le son clair avec le vibrato. Les deux sont exploitables et sonnent très bien. On est sur un type "univibe" donc c 'est assez particulier, vous n'aurez pas le son typé Nirvana avec ce chorus, on est plus sur Hendrix jouant l'hymne américain. Le vibrato est magnifique sur toute sa course.
