The BOSS BF3 Flanger is the successor to the popular BF2 and so therefore has all the characteristics of its predecessor with a little something extra. All the official flanging sounds can be adjusted by the Depth, Width, Resonance (almost a kind of feedback control) and manual (by the change of the delay time the effect is changed) controls, making it really versatile. From subtle, chorus-like settings to the famous "jet-jet" sound, a variety of flanging sounds are possible.

The new modes (ultra and gate / pan) produce stereo sounds of impressive spatiality. Independent inputs for guitar and bass make the BF3 just as interesting for bass players, with an additional foot switch the speed of the effect can also be controlled in tap tempo mode. The BF3 is characterised by a very good signal-to-noise ratio.

Ottimo flanger con varie regolazioni

Nulla da eccepire, ottima qualità, varie modalità, tap tempo,
interessante l'effetto pan se si esce in stereo,
regolato con moderazione è always ON sulla mia pedaliera,
ha anche un ingresso per basso ma non l'ho mai provato
anche se vista la qualità non dubito che suoni alla grande,
unico appunto sarebbe bello poter mixare il segnale diretto
con quello effettato (uso un mixerino esterno)

Ottima qualità. Se usato con un basso elettrico, bisognerebbe utilizzare un equalizzatore per i medi oppure porre attenzione al bilanciamento in uscita dal basso, per ottenere un suono meno "compresso".

Extremely Useful Pedal

Great for the classic flanger sound. It's perfect for that heavily modulated 80's effect.
The gate feature also allows it to do a great job at emulating more extreme tremelo sounds, so it can save a lot of space on the board.
May be a little more complicated that its predecessor however.

I found the Boss BF-3 to be an excellent addition to my pedal collection as it is a two in one pedal, you get a tremolo effect as well as multiple flange effects. The tremolo effect can be used with the flange at the same time or without the flange and on its own. I found this fantastic as you really get your money's worth with it. It is a very sturdy pedal on top of that. I have had no problems with it and I have had it with well over a year now. This boss pedal is to a high standard and creates no hiss. The Ultra flange option gives you a more intense flange sound which i found very useful. For a more subtle sound the standard one fitted my requirements perfectly. The only disadvantage with the pedal is that it can take a long time to find the right flange sound you want as you have to create it yourself. However for me I found that it added to the diversity of the pedal. I would highly recommend this pedal to someone who wants to make their guitar sound more interesting.
