prestazioni ottime , ma...

Le prestazioni sono di alta qualità', ma purtroppo si può gestire una telecamera alla volta, anche se possibile collegare 4 telecamere insieme in HDMI, SDI,COMPONENT,COMPOSIT...
possibile usarlo solo con thanderbol 3...per il resto e' un ottimo.

Versatile, portable and powerful

It is better than the expectations.
The size is portable, powerfull and easy to install and setup.
The drawback is that is not including even one only cable.
You need to buy the power chord one.

Im Verhältnis sehr teuer und keine Funktion als UVC-Webcam

Ich habe dieses Interface bestellt und getestet, aber wieder zurückgeschickt wegen eines Software-Problems: Das Interface wurde nicht als UVC-Webcam erkannt von meinem MacBook mit Big Sur und dem neuen Apple Silicon M1 Prozessor. Daher keine Aufnahme mit Quicktime oder OBS möglich. Leider hat BM keinerlei Anstalten gemacht, auf meine Supportanfrage zu reagieren. Ist aber möglicherweise ein Bug, der noch behoben wird (Stand Anfang 2021). Mit der hauseigenen Software Media Express funktioniert das Aufnehmen mit Thunderbolt 3 oder 2 (über Adapter).

Das 4K Mini hat einen Video Ein- und Ausgang in HDMI und SDI bis 4k 60 fps.
Außerdem analoger Video-Eingang in Composite und YUV (kein Hi8) möglich. Hervorragende Bildqualität, aber große Dateien (keine h264 Encoder-Hardware). Nimmt 4k bis über 6 GB/s auf bei minimaler Latenz. Keine Standalone-Aufnahme möglich, hat zwar einen SD-Karten-Slot, aber Aufnahme nur mit Computer, was wenig Sinn macht.

Audio-Aufnahme ist nur mit 48 kHz 24 bit Ganzzahl + Vorzeichen möglich, leider kein 32 bit floating! Kein Limiter, daher empfindlich gegen Übersteuerung. Klang ansonsten sehr gut. Anschluss über Symmetrische Stereo-Klinken Line Ein- und Ausgänge mit Studiopegel. Pegel umschaltbar auf Consumer Audio Pegel, nicht regelbar. Maximale Pegel nicht spezifiziert. Kopfhörerausgang hat zwar 6,3 mm Klinkenausgang, ist aber recht leise, erfordert niederohmigen Kopfhörer.

Software: Digital-Video Treiber mit Einstellmöglichkeiten für Video und Audio (Windows, Linux, Intel-Mac, Apple-Silicon Mac). Blackmagic Media Express mit einfacher Grabbing-Funktion. Edit und Steuerung über Tastaturbefehle nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich. Umfangreiche DaVinci Resolve Schnittsoftware als Basisversion kostenlos (mit Einschränkungen).

Fazit: Wenn man vergleicht mit dem fast gleich teuren 7 Zoll Monitor Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR, so bekommt man bei diesem wesentlich mehr fürs Geld und dieser funktioniert sowohl als Standalone Recorder wie auch als UVC-Webcam.

Lösung für 4K DCI Monitore

Habe das UltraStudio 4K Mini für die Verbindung mit einem EIZO CG319X gekauft, da es für Mac sonst keine erhältliche Lösung gibt, den Monitor in voller 4096x2160 4K DCI Auflösung *mit* HDR anzusteuern.

Meine anderen Versuche (DisplayPort, 4K 60FPS HDR Adapter + 4K 60FPS HDR Kabel – die das eigentlich versprechen!) sind fehlgeschlagen, bzw. gehen nur bis 3840x2160 4K UHD Auflösung.

Die 4K DCI Auflösung des UltraStudio 4K Mini ist somit ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal.

Nicht so prickelnd: Kann nicht als "Monitorausgang" des Systems verwendet werden, d.h. Netflix-HDR-Schauen is nüscht... Dafür braucht man oben genannten Adapter + Kabel (belkin).

Summa Summarum: Für mich persönlich ein etwas teures Kabel, da ich es nur als Ausgang für HDR-Grading verwende...

Ps: Verarbeitung top. Software top. Support bei Blackmagic top!
PPs: Wäre toll, wenn ein Softwareupdate den Betrieb als ganz normalen Monitorausgang mit HDR ermöglichen könnte.
