Traveler Guitar Ultra Light Acoustic AB

For what I needed, and considering the price, I'll rate this guitar as almost perfect. I'm knocking one star off the sound, because it obviously isn't as full and balanced as with a "proper" guitar, but that's not the point of this instrument anyway.

The main benefit of this guitar is that it's extremely lightweight and portable. You should be able carry it with you on the plane, and otherwise it can fit into a medium to large checked-in luggage.

It's also silent, which helps if you want to play in hotel rooms, at a terrace, or even at home, if you don't want to disturb your family.

It looks beautiful, and out of the box it's very playable, no need to sand down the saddle or fidget with truss rod. The neck is full scale, so it feels like playing a real guitar, not a 3/4 or 1/2 guitar.

Being so small, it is a bit wobbly, but that's the trade-off for a travel guitar. It also feels a bit uncomfortable pressing against the body. Perhaps using a strap might help with both issues, but I don't have one at hand to confirm.

The sound is OK, not bad, but it's not blowing me away, it's a bit thin. Perhaps using higher gauge (it comes with gauge 10) might help, but currently I'm too lazy to try it out, considering that restringing this guitar is a bit more tricky.

I bought this guitar to carry it on my journeys. I wanted something I can bring with me on a plane. I also wanted an instrument which is silent, so I can play it without disturbing the people around me. And for this purpose I can't think of a anything better. Donner Hush is a close alternative, but it's a bit bigger, and it was hard to find in Europe, so I went for this, and I'm happy I did!

Ich wollte "nur" eine Reisegitarre, aber jetzt spiele ich öfter auf der Ultra Light als auf meinen "Großen".
- Fretboard super angenehm
- Hals fühlt sich gut an
- Der Holzkörper ist sehr klein, aber trotzdem stimmig. Man fühlt die Vibrationen.
- Mit der mitgelieferten Beinstütze kann man super spielen (ich spiele mit und ohne, je nachdem wie ich mich auf die Couch setze: eher gerade mit Beinstütze, beim fletzen ohne)
- Der Tonabnehmer funktioniert auch gut (natürlich nicht mit den Fullsize Gitarren zu vergleichen). Ich habe einen kleinen Kopfhörer-Amp angeschlossen.
- Ohne Amp kann man spielen, ist aber natürlich leise. Wenn der Fernseher nebenbei läuft, hört man eigentlich nichts von der Gitarre (ohne Amp). Super um mit der Familie auf der Couch zu sitzen und einen Film zu schauen ;)
- Die Tasch ist auch cool und das Gesamtpaket so klein, dass es ohne Probleme überall mithin genommen werden kann.
- Das Stimmen funktioniert auch super einfach (ich dachte es wäre fummeliger, klappt aber erstaunlich leicht)

Kann diese Reisegitarre nur empfehlen!!!

Einziges Con: Die Beinstütze wird eingesteckt und hält sehr gut, ABER beim rausziehen kratzt sie häufig am Holz entlang. Das sieht dann unschön aus (aber da es die Unterseite ist, kein großes Problem)

Esthétique parfaite, construction sobre et sans défaut. Je confirme l'évidence : on ne dérange personne dans la maison, on n'est même pas dérangé par les autres si on utilise un casque suppresseur de bruit. J'ai vu des critiques de manque de réglage volume sur des évaluations d'autres modèles de cette série. Ça me semble une erreur de jugement car avec aucun réglage possible on annule pratiquement toutes les pannes d'électronique, autant laisser les réglages dans l'ampli casque. Bon, comme il n'y a pas de caisse de résonance, le pickup piézo donne un son plutôt plat, loin des harmoniques d'une guitare acoustique, il faut choisir un préampli ou une boîte à effets en conséquence. J'utilise un Nux Mighty Plug en mode émulation de guitare acoustique, ça donne un son correct pour la pratique. En parlant de pratique, les cordes frisent sans pitié à la moindre erreur de doigté main gauche, cela force à jouer très propre. Enfin une chose à prévoir : l'équilibre corps-manche n'est pas le même qu'une guitare habituelle, il vaut mieux jouer avec sangle sinon le manche pèse trop sur la main gauche. En conclusion un instrument incroyablement transportable qui me suit partout, il est beau, facile à jouer, en un mot gratifiant à chaque fois que je le prend en mains.

Sehr schöne Übungs-/Reisegitarre, sehr angenehm zu spielen. Eine Tasche ist auch dabei, wird bei mir also bei keiner Reise mehr fehlen. Ins Handgepäck passt sie zwar leider nicht ganz, aber ins aufzugebende Gepäck geht sich das dann schon aus.
Ich finde vorallem die verarbeitung wirkt sehr gut, allerdings war bei mir die Klinkebuchase locker und ehe ich es selbst richten konnte, waren die Leitungen ab. Nichts was sich nicht schnell wieder löten lässt, aber trotzdem nervig wenn man bei einem neuen Instrument gleich mal wieder etwas richten muss, auch wenn es nur eine Kleinigkeit ist.
