Three-month Tomplay subscription

The premium subscription for the online service Tomplay provides access to a continuously updated collection of over 30,000 professionally produced playback tracks and sheet music for about 30 different instruments. The Tomplay app for Android and iOS comes with many helpful features for practising music – for instance, synchronising the notes being displayed with the backing track's current point, which is particularly helpful when learning new songs. Many compositions have different levels of difficulty and thus can be played in various ways, which makes Tomplay interesting for both advanced musicians and beginners. In addition to the mobile app, all these great Tomplay features can be used on Windows and macOS with any browser.

Handy practice features

The Tomplay app provides a number of very practical features for practising with a band or ensemble. A compact mixer allows users to set the volume of individual tracks or parts, while the functions for arranging and adjusting repetitions and tempo are extremely helpful when practising challenging sections. It is also possible to add coloured markings, additional playing instructions, or personal notes to the existing notation. A real treat for beginners is the fingerboard display for guitars, showing in real time which notes to play on which strings and frets. On top of that, a recording function is included for providing objective feedback on every musician's individual progress.

Versatile repertoire

Tomplay started out with a focus on Classical music, and subscribers will still find many compositions for all the standard orchestral stringed and keyed instruments, as well as woodwind, brass, and percussion. However, the library now includes many other genres too, such as Rock/Pop, Jazz, and even World Music and film scores, with an ever-growing range of music for all the popular instruments. The three-month subscription is ideal for people interested in Tomplay who are still unsure about commiting to a six or twelve-month subscription without testing the service first. And any first-time users who are satisfied with Tomplay can go on to save money and hassle with longer-term subscriptions.

About Tomplay

Tomplay is an online provider of high-quality multitrack playbacks and related interactive scores for various instruments, accessible via a simple web browser as well as related apps for Android and iOS. The Swiss company, based in the municipality of Pully on the outskirts of Lausanne, was founded by musicians and has set itself the goal of opening up new methods of digital support when practising an instrument. More than 100 musicians, developers, and designers were involved in the creation of the online service, the related app, and the constantly growing content.

Professional backing tracks

Tomplay will bring new variety and inspiration into the daily routine of practising an instrument at home with its catalogue of backing tracks and interactive sheet music. Instead of using generic MIDI backing tracks, Tomplay uses real flesh-and-blood musicians for its elaborately produced backing tracks. This is true of both the instrumental parts and the vocalists – it's immediately clear that true pros are at work here, and ones who are capable of performing the material as authentically as possible. Tomplay is also extremely exacting in terms of mixing and mastering, in order to come as close as possible to each track's original sound.
