It features 15 nylon strings arranged in double and triple courses (DD, FF, GG, CC, FF, AA, DD, G), which terminate at an angled pegbox fitted with traditional Ceylon lemonwood pegs. The bridge and fingerboard inlays are also crafted from chinar, and the traditional bone nut adds to the historical authenticity. Fifteen lemonwood pegs maintain stable tuning - though an occasional application of peg paste can enhance grip and tuning reliability. A laser-engraved star rosette completes the design, functioning both as a resonator and a decorative centrepiece on the soundboard.
