The compact DJ mixer that does it all

Every DJ has played gigs where they just didn't need the very newest and most expensive mixer. Sometimes, a smaller mixer with the right features is all it takes. For these kind of situations, the flexible the t.mix 201-USB Play from Thomann offers a host of features that, despite its low price, will make it particularly attractive to beginners, hobbyists, and weekend DJs. As a 2-channel DJ mixer with two integrated media players, the 201-USB has all the essentials: Audio files can be played via USB sticks, SD cards, or Bluetooth, and mixed using the line and cross faders with the help of a 3-band equaliser. To make beat-matching a breeze, the 201 also comes with a cue function that allows DJs to preview the next track – they can simply connect their headphones to the jack on the front of the unit.

About the t.mix

Thomann’s in-house brand "the t.mix" has been an integral brand of its product range since 2000. This brand offers a wide selection of different mixing desks, passive PA systems, and various accessories, proving that quality, reliability, and an attractive price tag can go hand in hand. Whether users require a DJ mixer, a compact mixing desk for the rehearsal room, or a passive PA system for a youth club, the t.mix has a convincing and affordable solution for every application.

Easy like Friday evening

Of course, the t.mix 201-USB Play is not really intended for elaborate, artistic DJ performances – instead, it's a tried and tested solution for providing a fun musical backdrop at weekend house parties and other social gatherings. Understandably, the built-in potentiometers and faders probably won't meet the standards of demanding pro DJs: However, they're absolutely ideal for effortlessly combining two tracks on the fly. Thanks to the switchable line and phono inputs on the back of the mixer, external audio sources such as CD players or turntables can also be easily integrated into the DJ setup in addition to the built-in media players. For easy selection of the audio source, there's a switch above the respective line fader of each channel.

N
It exceeded my expectations. I'm lucky!

It is an impression when using it at home.
think this price is cheap and very good.
What seems to be a bad point is the feel of the knobs.
Also, moving the knob a little is too effective.
Others are very good.
1) The sound is relatively good. (I used to make sound with A & H's xone43c)
2) You can make sound with MP3 of USB memory or SD card.
3) The Bluetooyh function is very convenient and interesting.
You can make any music file sound.
It's also every 2 channels.
(You can switch music files from two computers and put them out,This is surprisingly interesting, because it can be put out from both my daughter's PC,Useful for conversations with my daughter)
At the next opportunity, I will describe my impressions in the studio that I put out at a volume of 500w or more.I

Excellent value and very useful

Great for capturing audio from various sources, mixing and outputting to recorder etc. It's versatile podcasting kit for very little cost. Having two different bluetooth connections with fader control between them is a real bonus. When run as a single source into the Spreaker Studio app it adds so many options, we bought two!

For home or for no professional use its good. You can pair 2 bluetooth devices very easy and works fine. The sound quality is pretty nice not perfect. I use it for 2 weeks without any problem. A perfect solution if you want to play background music by a smartphone ,tablet or laptop without cable !

Surprise :-}

I'm usually a guitarist, but 2 or 4 times a year I do a disco in the town castle gardens, it's usually full of people {a few hundred} and they do not cone to drink tea & talk. I push a few kilowatts of sound, my bass speaker boxes are both the size of a small car.
Usually my laptop is the music source, but it freezes sometimes, my standby laptop is old, takes a while to boot up, If the town electric supply is "iffy" it can re'happen & be a bad night for the audience, hence the tmix 201.
201 has much better and stronger sound + a superb eq control, and hasn't crashed yet, I feel to have much more control of my play list, all my music is on SD cards or usb memory sticks now, only use my laptop to load the sticks/cards at home.
Bye, bye screen freezes, hello tmix 201, hope all is good this summer.
Fingers crossed and big thanks to tho tho.
