I never had previous experience with the cloudburst as the only Strymon reverb I previously owned was the blue sky in my pedalboard. I wanted a reverb plug with different kind of flavor to use during my recordings so I decide to try out the strymon cloudburst.
I was blown away immediately with the sounds. I used it on electric guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals to create an immersive soundscape adding a bit of flavor with the ensemble knob.
Compared to my other reverb plug in from iZotope, waves, it's night and day. It's so warm sounding and colorful that it pushes you to use it in every application.
Absolutely amazing and it is worth every penny.

Da ich schon den Big Sky als Plugin hatte, war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich auch den Cloudburst brauche... Nach dem Austesten der Demoversion war der Fall aber klar, beide haben jetzt einen Platz in meinem Template-Projekt! Mit dezentem Einsatz des Ensemble-Reglers bekommt man einen wunderbar grossen und hellen Sound, der so nicht aus dem Big Sky kommt. Letzterer ist immer etwas dunkler und softer. Je nach Instrument, das verhallt werden soll, passt mal der eine, mal der andere besser. Meine Lieblingseinstellung: Decay: ca. 20, Tone: Rechtsanschlag, Mod: ca. 90, Ensemble ca. 20-40, Decay sehr lang.
