Erster 5-Saiter für mich ( Einsteiger)

Auf Empfehlung meines Bass-Lehrers und weil ich meine Fähigkeiten auch mal etwas erweitern wollte, bin ich auf diesen Sterling Stingray SUB Bass gestoßen. Mein erster Bass ist ebenfalls ein 4-Saiten Sterling SUB Series. Mit diesem war und bin ich als Einstiegsbass sehr zufrieden. Der 5-Saiter hier hat mich erstmal optisch angesprochen, was natürlich Geschackssache ist, keine Frage. Aber auch preislich wollte ich noch nicht gleich in den 4-stelligen Bereich gehen. Der Bass ist noch ganz frisch auf dem Markt. Daher hat die Lieferung meine Geduld auch ganzschön auf die Probe gestellt. Fast 4 Monate hats gedauert. Aber das hat sich mittlerweile sicherlich entspannt. Was soll ich sagen, das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Er liegt ganz gut in der Hand, fühlt sich aber für mich recht schwer an. Da habe ich aber nicht wirklich einen Vergleich, außer dem Marleaux von meinem Lehrer. Ja gut, der Vergleich hinkt. Das ist ja nunmal eine ganz andere Liga. Nachdem ich ihn dann ausgepackt habe, gings erstmal ans Einstellen. So wie er kam, war die Saitenlage, besonders der E und H-Saite, eher unspielbar. Es hat geklirrt und gescheppert und meine Anschläge sind eher zurückhaltend. Was nicht so richtig geklappt hat, war das Einstellen der Bundreinheit der H-Saite. Ich bin da jetzt mit der Stellschraube am Anschlag und die Oktave ist immernoch ein ganz bisschen zu tief. Nichts dramatisches. Mein Lehrer meinte, das hört man sowieso nicht. Nachdem das dann alles erledigt war, muss ich sagen, trotz der mitgelieferten Standardsaiten ist der Sound überraschend gut und lässt sich vielseitig einstellen. Die Töne kommen klar und sauber und klingen auch schön lange nach. Da geht sicher noch mehr mit guten Saiten, mal schauen. An der Verarbeitung habe ich absolut nichts auszusetzen. Es sieht alles vernünftig aus und fühlt sich auch richtig gut an.
Alles in allem, für den Preis, absolute Kaufempfehlung für Leute die einen guten 5-Saiter im Einstiegssegment suchen.
