Sonor GL-25 PN Glockenspiel

Hallo zusammen!
Wir haben für unsre neue Band, in der wir hauptsächlich unplugged spielen, ein Glockenspiel gesucht und gefunden! Das Sonor GL-25 ist für unsere Zwecke vollkommen ausreichend. Der Sound ist klar und durchsichtig, die Stimmung einwandfrei. Da die mitgelieferten Schlagstöcke an beiden Enden einmal mit einer Holzkugel und auf der anderen Seite mit einer Gummikugel versehen sind, hat man hier die Möglichkeit einen sehr weichen und harten Sound zu erzeugen, was für manche Songs vielleicht wichtig ist, oder aber, damit man lautstärketechnisch sich besser anpassen kann! Wichtig wäre noch die breite Schlagfläche der einzelnen Metallplatten, sie erhöht die Treffsicherheit doch enorm!
Das Teil ist sehr robust verarbeitet und obendrein in dem Plastikkoffer bestens aufgehoben.
Soundtechnisch geht es mit Sicherheit noch etwas besser, aber für diesen Preis kann mit allem rundum bestens zufrieden sein!

This little thing has proven to be far more useful than expected! Adding some sparkly high end to a song with this adds more to it than I would have guessed. And it really sounds much more alive and interesting recording the real thing than using samples, another big surprise (I thought this instrument is so simplistic a sampler will capture it well enough, but that's just not the case).

I suppose the glockenspiel really is an underrated instrument after all!

The build quality gives me no reason to complain, it's reasonably priced for what it is, and having a range from A-A is far more useful than from C-C. I don't miss the high notes it doesn't have, and would definitely miss the lowest notes if they weren't there.

The only negative thing I have to say, is that it would have looked better with a natural dark wood frame, instead of painted black. But whatever.

Your studio should have one of these lying around. You don't think you need one, but you're wrong! ;-)
