Quality product, suitable for many different mics
Excellent quality, and holds my Electrovoice RE20 very firmly. Important to use the clip the right way up, as it supports better that way. Shock bands are quite substantial, and give excellent isolation for the microphone.

Exactly what you expect
Just a great allround mount for pretty all kinds of mics you have that's lost their mount somehow. Works like a charm for heavy tube mics, as well as small pencil condensers. Will definitely buy again.

Rycote quality!
Got this for my Astons, as the Aston shock mount is HUGE!
This one is a fair size, small footprint, universal mount means that it just about fits the Aston Origin (anything wider won't fit). Can't comment on durability yet but have no doubt it'll last as it feels really well built,

Easy to install and use, perhaps slight difficulty in making sure the mix is in the middle of the shockmount, but nothing that isn't easily overcome.
perfect if you want to keep your microphone in the shockmount at all times. the lack of elastic components is a breath of fresh air

Ich benutze die Spinne für mein Aston Microphone Spirit und dieser sitzt bombenfest darin. Trittschall wird wie erwartet gut gedämpft. Die Spinne ist nicht zu klobig und stört nicht beim Aufnehmen. Ich würde es jederzeit wiederkaufen!

Great isolation, very durable
I have used this little guy for years in my home studio - no signs of wear, grabs expensive mics very securely, offers excellent vibration isolation.
Plus, it adjusts to a really wide range of mic diameters and shapes, from round to square'ish like Sennheiser MD-421.
Highly recommended.

Rycote USM Mount
Having had a few conventional elastic based mounts fall apart I thought I'd give this new idea a try.
I'm very impressed with the ease of use and the way it securely holds my expensive microphones either way vertically and even horizontally. It's really quick and easy to change to a different mic and this feature definitely leads to extra use. Build quality seems excellent and it looks like it will last.
I haven't had time to do a direct comparison with my elastic Neumann mount but in use the USM seems to do a very good job of filtering rumble coming up the mic stand.
Not cheap, but worth it. I've bought two more!

Very good and adaptable holder, versatile and has good vibration separation, sags a bit with really heavy mic like the EV 20, but that is to be expected.
