Not Just A Podcast Mic
I love this mic.
I do mainly Death Metal music, and the Procaster is my new go to for several applications.
It is superb on my voice, especially with the WS2 windscreen. The windscreen applied makes the mic sound warmer and turns it to a great answer to the SM7B while eliminating plosives, so I highly recommend getting that as well.
Besides vocals, it's surprisingly good on distorted guitars! Shove it in front of an amp and behold the great results! I like using mics for things they weren't 'designed' to do and see what you get. Sometimes you'll be very pleased with the result.
And yes, I use it for spoken word as well. Again, with the windscreen on.
As well as recording purposes, I truly feel I can defend myself with this mic if needed. It's build quality is top notch and it feels like a metal pipe in my hand.

Perfect Dynamic Mic
I use this product for youtube videos in a not exactly silent environment and it does the perfect job for me. Have no cons about it at the moment,

Greatly built. But gain hungry
The rode procaster microphone is absolutely wonderful. It sounds crisp and clear, doesn't pick up a lot of noise. And is built like a tank. Build quality is great and it is a heavy mic. Pouch it comes with is also very nice.
The sound quality is superb specially for the price point, and the lows are a little emphasized to give that beautiful podcasty/radio channel voice.
However i do recommend a cloudlifter or a fethead. Because this mic is really gain hungry, and i had to crank up my scarlett 2i4 to almost maximum to get decent sound without the cloudlifter

excellent microphone
The Australian guys at Rode did it again. This one microphone seems built so that it sounds good everywhere. The voice is captured with pretty much a lot of low ends, good medium, and sparkling highs. This is for radio shows, podcasting, narrating, streaming. So if you are a professional streamer, or need to narrate your own book (and turn it into an audiobook) this microphone is for you. Especially if you record in your own home, and perharps there is residual noise, it manages to reject most of it.
I strongly recommend soundproofing your room to get the most out of this dynamic microphone. It rejects lots of noise because of his supercardioid type, so it gets the voice mainly near his capsule, but if you crank the preamp or your soundcard mic channel gain too much, it starts to capture little noises around. So soundproofing your room will ensure you turn the gain as much as you want on it.
Superb quality, seems really heavy and sturdy, all metal, good Australian quality. And voice sounds fat and compressed, even with a simple XLR input in my Scarlett 6i6 soundcard. Enjoy!

Love is a strong word, but it's justified
I love this mic. Of all the podcasting gear I've bought, I feel this has been the best investment. I spent a little more money to buy the procaster and after many months of use I am incredibly satisfied. The sound quality is exactly what I hoped for, the mic feels so sturdy that I could use it as a weapon and it would still work, and its simplicity makes it perfect.

Top quality sound
I was looking for a microphone to use for voiceovers, podcasting and radio shows and after looking at a few different mics i decided to purchase the Rode Procaster and I'm delighted that I bought this.
I present a show for an online radio station and I swapped out the studio mic for this and the sound from it is incredible. It really does give your voice that extra bit of oomph.
The packaging is great and it comes with a protective leather case for storing it in if your not going to be using it for a while.
I would prefer the sound of this compared to the Neumann BCM 104 that I have used in other studios for voiceovers.
It also has a built in pop shield so you don't need to worry about your P's and B's
Overall this is a brilliant all rounder, I will be buying another couple of these in the future to add to my studio for when i have extra guests in my podcasts.

Simple, Plug & Record
Got it out of the package, plugged it in, turned up the microphone volume, and it's ready for recording. I don't think it could be any simpler even if they tried.

awesomeness
this mic is heavy and just rigid. the sound is perfect as it sits below the 16K mark. The large membrane picks up enough to get a rounded sound. Close mic-ing is no problem and your details will be clear and clean. It does need a good pre-amp. Don't be afraid to lift up that signal. I just love this mic. i have bought TWO of them now lol

A great alternative to the Sure SM7B for half the price
I use it for VO work, podcasts, and radio production.
Nice full-bodied sound and a smooth top end that responds nicely to high frequency boosts in post-production.
I strongly recommend purchasing the Rode WS2 Filter with this as the internal pop filter is not great. However, paired with the WS2 it is excellent.

Pretty good
Sound is more on the low end (which isn't a bad thing) and the outside durability is excellent.
