Did the job!

I had never tried Remo's Emperor clear bass drum heads before, I have always used Evans Emad, however I wanted to try a cheaper alternative, and so i tried this Emperor.
I am a working drummer, playing 2 to 3 times a week, in the usual pubs and clubs, I usually have a microphone on my bass drum, here is what I thought of the head:
The head itself was up to Remo's usual quality, and I had no issues with the durability of the head, however the sound was not exactly what I was after for my bass drum. This head, didn't give me the low punch you want from the bass drum. Perhaps this head would suit more of a jazzy player, as apposed to one that wants a deep thud from the bass drum.

With Thomann, you know you will get the service, price and quality. These heads are fantastic even with some muting. They add warmth and durability to an already open clear sound that all drums need.

Absolutely beautiful sound I have gone through many bass heads and this one so far is suited best to my liking, it produces a real nice clear sound and enough punch to cut through anything.

super Sound, super schnell kaputt

Eins ist ganz klar - das Remo macht einen super Sound.
Nur leider geht es viel zu schnell kaputt. Ohne einen speziellen Schutz für den Anschlagpunkt des Schlegels und bei engagierter Spielweise sollte man sich darauf einstellen, mit dem Fell nicht allzu lange glücklich zu werden. Klebt man aber so einen speziellen Schutz (von Remo) drauf, (gibts auch für Double Bass) dann hält das Fäll wesentlich länger. Der Schutz hat auch nur minimale Auswirkungen auf den Sound, aber maximale auf die Haltbarkeit.
Kostet dummerweise nochmal ca. 8 EUR extra.
