It's a solid TRS jack socket, I've used them to make DIY drums.
They work perfectly and are well built.

My only criticism of these is that there's now wrench-able part on the outside to hold while you tighten up the nut.

FYI: If you're drilling holes, it's a little bigger than 1cm, so make sure to get the correct sized drill bit. 👍
