Quality, simplicity, connectivity

The QSC LS118 is an active 18" subwoofer designed as the low-frequency foundation for the L-Class line-array system, engineered to pair with the LA108 and LA112 loudspeakers. A 4,000W Class D amplifier with active power factor correction delivers a peak SPL of 138dB, with articulate, controlled low-frequency performance down to 35Hz. The integrated DSP handles system optimisation and keeps the LS118 operating within its safe limits across all configurations. For users requiring outstanding low-frequency output with a transparent sonic character, the LS118 scales from standalone stage sub to the anchor of a full stereo or surround system.

Flexible configuration

The LS118 can serve as the base for a full satellite array mounted on an array frame, support a compact vertical array either upright or on its side via its two M20 pole mounts, or be deployed as a standalone stage sub – integrated blue transport wheels aid handling when moving the unit. When two or more units are deployed together, they can be configured to operate in a cardioid arrangement, reducing rearward output by up to -15dB – particularly useful for DJs and bands where excessive low-frequency energy on stage can mask the monitor mix. The QSC SysNav app supports flexible configuration, management, and monitoring of signal processing across all units in the system.

Coherent integration

The LS118 suits professional concert sound, fixed installations, and rental inventory – appropriate for production companies, dry-hire providers, full-time entertainers, and venue operators who need a high-output subwoofer that integrates cleanly into a networked audio system. The Acoustic Linear Phase functionality enables coherent integration of multiple QSC loudspeaker units or entire arrays for uniform sound across the full venue, with daisy-chain connections supporting both digital and analogue networks. Dante connectivity ensures compatibility with other networked audio systems on the same infrastructure.

About QSC

QSC was founded in California in 1968 and has since established itself as a global leader in the design and manufacture of professional audio system solutions. At QSC, everything – power amplifiers, loudspeakers, digital signal processing (DSP) and digital mixing consoles – is developed under the one roof. This results in products and systems whose features are perfectly matched to one another. QSC's expertise is also evident in its state-of-the-art production technology and quality control. Its products are manufactured both in China and in QSC's own facility, which covers more than 7,500 square meters in Costa Mesa, California.

Versatile deployment

The LS118 covers a wide range of deployment scales – from standalone use at smaller events to left/right pairs in front of the stage at clubs and smaller festivals, or flown as part of a larger system. DSP-based phase and crossover optimisation enables clean integration with other L-Class components, and cardioid configuration is available when paired with additional units for controlled bass directivity. The integrated Deep mode extends the low-frequency response further by adjusting the DSP processing for maximum sub-bass output – useful for applications where very low frequency reproduction is a priority, such as electronic music events or cinema installations. Six years of warranty coverage apply upon registration.
