Quality, simplicity, connectivity
The QSC LA112 is an active two-way line-array loudspeaker combining a lightweight 12" low-frequency driver with a pair of high-frequency compression drivers in a single enclosure. With 2,400W total output and a peak SPL of 136dB, it delivers consistent, undistorted sound across large venues and demanding outdoor environments. QSC's LEAF waveguide technology provides a defined coverage pattern of 90° horizontally and 15° vertically; when multiple modules are arrayed, their vertical dispersion combines into a narrower, more directional beam for controlled long-throw coverage. Active power factor correction keeps the output consistent regardless of mains supply variation, and the system's intelligent electronics communicate status and configuration data via a built-in multifunction display and the QSC SysNav app.
Versatile compatibility
Multiple LA112 loudspeakers can be ground-stacked using dedicated array frames and sub-stack adapters, mounted on a loudspeaker stand or pole, or flown using optional short-, medium-, and long-throw rigging configurations – the latter also enabling compatibility between the various L-Class units. At 21.4kg and 630×392×417mm, the LA112 is a substantial cabinet; factoring this into transport and rigging planning is advisable before deployment. For integration into an existing PA setup, the LA112 offers daisy-chain connections for both analogue and digital audio signals, as well as PowerCon sockets with locking AC connectors. Key setup information is communicated via the multifunction display and the QSC SysNav app, which also manages the AWARE sensors for configuring multiple speakers in the same array.
Flexible interoperability
The LA112 is designed for professional live-sound reinforcement, fixed installations, and rental inventory – suited to production companies, dry-hire providers, clubs, and full-time entertainers who need a line-array system that scales from portable plug-and-play deployments to complex networked AV productions. Professional event technicians benefit from Dante-based networked audio compatibility for integration into larger digital audio ecosystems, while the system's low energy consumption is a practical advantage for venue operators managing running costs. An array of L-Class loudspeakers is equally effective as a main front-of-house system or along a delay line.
About QSC
QSC was founded in California in 1968 and has since established itself as a global leader in the design and manufacture of professional audio system solutions. At QSC, everything – power amplifiers, loudspeakers, digital signal processing (DSP) and digital mixing consoles – is developed under the one roof. This results in products and systems whose features are perfectly matched to one another. QSC's expertise is also evident in its state-of-the-art production technology and quality control. Its products are manufactured both in China and in QSC's own facility, which covers more than 7,500 square meters in Costa Mesa, California.
QSC LEAF Waveguide
QSC's LEAF waveguide technology (Length-Equalised Acoustic Flare) delivers uniform, controlled coverage, ensuring consistent throw across the listening area. Developed specifically for QSC's line-array systems, the waveguide functions as an acoustic impedance adaptor – the high impedance of the compression driver's exit is precisely matched to the low acoustic impedance of the external air load. This improves driver efficiency under acoustic load, enabling low crossover frequencies and supporting the high headroom and controlled directivity the system is designed to achieve. At low frequencies, wavelengths are large enough that even a mid-sized array's woofers radiate effectively as a point source, operating independently of the waveguide's directional behaviour.
In the spotlight
RapidDeploy
Anyone who works in live sound knows how hard it can be to source and finance large crews. It's therefore a significant advantage of the L-Class system that the speakers can be deployed and configured by a single operator. QSC's RapidDeploy technology means that all rigging-relevant mechanical components are integrated into the loudspeaker enclosures themselves – no loose pins, bolts, or external small parts that could be misplaced or awkward to handle. Each loudspeaker incorporates front and rear hooks along with a locking lever with clearly labelled angles, enabling one person to install an entire array quickly and safely. Beyond ease of handling, this construction also eliminates exposed external rigging hardware, giving each array a clean, unobtrusive appearance.
