Strung out.

I bought these strings for my bass and have since played live with them many times. I have found the strings to be excellent value and just what i was hoping for. They have held thier tone and I think many acoustic Bass strings suffer from losing their bright tone and becoming too dull too quickly. Excellent value for money.

Son:
Très clair, précis, à couper au couteau. Vraiment bluffant, ca change totalement des cordes séries. les basses sont un peu mangées en acoustique, mais en éléctrique tou est bien la, et quel bonheur d'entendre des harmoniques naturelles si parfaites. Vraiment un son de grande qualité.

Utilisation:
Alors il se forme un dépot après quelques jours qui ternit les cordes, pas de panique, c'est normal. elles sont peut etre un peu seches a jouer, le contact sur les doigts est rugueux, mais un peu de fast fret et c'est parti. elles ne sont pas très souples, éviter pour un débutant, il faut appuyer pour les coller a la frette.

Pimp my HB-5-String-Acoustic-Fretless...

Hatte mir vor einigen Monaten eine Harley Benton Akustikbass Fretless 5-Saiter gekauft, weil ich mal wieder ohne Verstärkung spielen wollte. Die Verarbeitung des Basses ist eigentlich ordentlich, allerdings sind die originalen Saiten eine totale Katastrophe. Viel Zug, aber ein merkwürdiges Gefühl beim Zupfen. Also mussten mal anständige Akustikbasssaiten her. Die Auswahl ist bei 5-Saiten nicht so groß, also habe ich was Günstiges genommen und nicht die teuren Thomastiks oder ähnliches...

Der Klang der Bronze-Saiten ist sehr schön und passt gut zu einem Fretless. Die Mischung zwischen noch akzeptabler Lautstärke und Sound macht es hier. Leider ist der Zug der Saiten relativ schwach und die dicke H-Saite ist nicht sehr druckvoll. Durch den schwachen Saitenzug muss ich nun den Steg etwas unterlegen, da die Halskrümmung zu flach ist.

Alles in allem für das Geld definitiv eine gute Alternative zu den Originalsaiten der günstigeren Bässe...
