Die Shekere göhrt zu den kleineren ihrer Art (siehe Meinl SH-R, Sonor FSB, Sonor FSN, Jim Greiner usw). Der Korpus ist insofern ganz witzig, als er einer Kalebasse nachgeformt ist, einschließlich der Delle am Fuß und auch die Farbe hat. Ein Vorteil, für Gruppen, die traditionelle Intrumentierung bevorzugen, aber die Robustheit einer GFK-Lösung wollen. Dadurch ist auch der Sound der Rassel lauter und spitzer aber der Ton beim Schlagen auf den Boden schöner. Allerdings läßt die Qualität der Bespannung zu wünschen übrig: Das Netz an den Enden ist nur verschweißt (ich bin gespannt wie lange das hält!) und die Kordel ist billigste Qualiät und etwas störrisch.
