I'd read positive reviews about the crazy egg and it seemed pretty good value for money. I've struggled with this flumie, I just find the tones it produces on my symphonic are a little jarring. The rubber has also split at the top, not great after less than 6 months of use, but it is still useable. Would I buy it again? Probably not, I prefer my Olli Hess Lava edition.

These egg shaped friction mallets are great at first. But their surface becomes smooth after a while and they stop working. I have 2 of them and neither of them are now usable.
