Note: With proper use, the MusicNomad diamond-coated saddle file will last a very long time. Originally known from industrial applications, diamond is considered one of the most durable abrasives available. Only use these files for nuts made of bone, graphite, plastic or TUSQ materials, or for brass or zinc tailpieces. The files are not suitable for grinding steel. Clean the files regularly with a brush to remove grinding residues from the gaps in the diamond coating. If the grinding effect on the front part of the file wears off, the file can be turned in the handle to bring the less-used rear part to the front.

Ich habe mir das MusicNomad Diamond Nut File Set gekauft, da ich bei zwei meiner Gitarren den Sattel nachfeilen musste. Bei der einen Gitarre waren ab Werk 9er-Saiten aufgezogen, doch die Sattelkerben waren so eng gearbeitet, dass der 10er-Saitensatz immer leicht hängen blieb und dadurch die Stimmung nicht gehalten hat. Bei der zweiten Gitarre, einer Westerngitarre, hatte ich vor Jahren einen Gitarrenbauer gebeten, den Sattel für 10er-Saiten anzupassen. Da ich mittlerweile nicht mehr live spiele, wollte ich jedoch den volleren Klang von 12er-Saiten wieder auf dieser Gitarre haben. Kurz gesagt: Auch hier mussten die Sattelkerben erweitert werden.

Dank des wirklich hochwertigen Sets konnte ich beide Arbeiten mühelos durchführen. Die Qualität ist so überzeugend, dass ich sicher bin, noch sehr lange Freude daran zu haben. Trotz des recht hohen Preises würde ich das Diamond Nut File Set uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Tolles Produkt für den (semi-) professionellen Einsatz.
Nicht 100% in derselben Liga, wie beispielsweise die Diamantfeilen aus dem Hause StewMac, aber dafür zu einem Bruchteil des Preises und in wirklich dezenter Qualität. Daumen hoch !
