my hands were too small for the lower notes

I bought this instrument because it was supposed to be suitable for smaller hands. I could hardly reach the bottom keys
The higher notes had a very round sound but I found the lower notes a bit soft.
The instrument is quite light to hold compared to my old bass. which was good.
Unfortunately I had to return the instrument because my hands could not reach the lower notes comfortably.

lichte en soepel spelende bas met vol geluid

Ik heb meerdere typen bassen geprobeerd. De Mollenhauer Denner klonk prachtig, maar ik vond bij het direct aanblazen op de kop (wat ik het liefste doe vanwege de directheid), de laagste noten teveel handstrekking vragen. Ook zat de fluit met pijpje teveel in mijn blikveld. Vandaar dat ik op de Canta knikbas uitkwam, ook omdat deze een mooi vol geluid beloofde. Dat laatste maakt hij in kersenhout helemaal waar. Hij komt qua volheid van geluid in de buurt van de Kung knikbas, maar is veel lichter hanteerbaar en vraagt minder lucht. Voor mij ideaal om in een groot ensemble te kunnen spelen en daar zo nodig wat aan te kunnen zetten in volume. Dat laatste zag ik met Moeckbassen niet gemaakt.
