Gibson 335

I installed this in my Gibson 335 from 2002 mostly because I had some scraping/ volume cut (when being on 10) on one potentiometer. I thought that the Lundgrens Heaven 57's pickups I previously installed really got the guitar to sing, however after installing this Mojotone harness the guitar got more defined sound. Basically more of everything, lows, highs. Better string separation and more overtones. Weird thing. But a guitar is only as good as its weakest link. Ordered the harness for my tele right away and I am really happy with that one aswell!

Besitze eine ES 335 Kopie von Maya (Made in Japan) aus den frühen 80igern. Habe die Gitarre vor einigen Jahren schon mal umgebaut (Seymour Duncan Pickups, Bigsby Tremolo), aber in der Praxis war dieses Ding kaum zu gebrauchen, der Klang war viel zu basslastig und mumpfig. Durch den Umbau mit dem Mojotone-Teil hat sich das 100%ig geändert. Der Klang ist immer noch sehr voll, die Höhen kommen aber nunmehr auch voll zur Geltung. Blues, R&R, Funk und Rock sind jetzt ohne Problem umsetzbar. Vom dekorativen Ausstellungsstück zur absolut brauchbaren Gitarre für "dreckigen" Blues/Rock!
Beim Einbau gab es zwar kleine Probleme - natürlich sehr fummelig einzubauen durch die engen F-Löcher, die Löcher für die Potiknöpfe musste ich mit einer Rundfeile erweitern. Tip: am Gewinde der Klinkenbuchse vorher einen Faden/Schnur oder Ähnliches am Gewinde befestigen und vor der Montage durch das Loch an der Decke fädeln, dann lässt sich zum Schluss auch dieser Teil herausziehen und befestigen.
Fazit: Hat sich wirklich gelohnt!!!

Eine echte Aufwertung!

Das Wiring Kit holt wirklich das Maximum aus einer Gitarre. Wer sich schon immer gewundert hat, warum Vintage Humbucker Gitarren nicht so dumpf klingen und man aus diesen Gitarren deutlich mehr brauchbare Sounds rausbekommt, sollte unbedingt dieses Kit probieren!
