A
Fantastic desk for the price
Anonymous 29.03.2015
Having used Midas PRO series desks, I was looking for a desk of my own which offered similar features, without the £20,000 price tag. For ease of transport, and price, I settled on the M32R.

The M32R is a very well constructed, competent digital desk. The desk feels solid, and features "proper" Midas preamps and PRO series faders (unlike the similar X32).

The desk features some local I/O in the form of 16 ins, 8 outs, and 6 aux inputs. This can be expanded by adding the Midas DL16 stage boxes, which connect over AES50 (of which I have one).

The software on the desk is the same as the X32, and is easy to navigate and on the whole quite intuitive. The menu system is not too deep - meaning if you want to get to something, you are only a button press away. The screen is 5", but is the same resolution as the larger screen on the bigger M32 so you don't lose any screen space, though some items are a little small.

If you have used a digi desk in the past, you should be able to get to grips with the M32R very quickly. I was able to have sound through it, and it's stage box very easily, routing to monitors, adding effects and setting dynamics without needing to refer to the manual.

I would recommend this desk to anyone who is looking for a good quality intro to the digital world of pro audio.

P
wow what a fabalous desk
Patrick2807 13.06.2017
This is without doubt the best piece of equipment i have ever purchased from Thomann...

you will not be disappointed with this desk ... the pre amps are clean ... the sound quality amazing ... the effects excellent .... the usability incredibly easy ....

plug anything into this desk and very little needs to be done to get great sounds ...

This desk is ideal for the seasoned engineer and the novice musician ... because as stated .. very little noodling needs to be done to get great tone from the inputs and outputs ...

if you are however a seasoned engineer you can however simply get ur teeth stuck into the details of this desk ... and get lost with fine tuning your sounds

absolutely no hesitation in recomending this desk .... go on spend the extra few euros / pounds ... you won't be sorry guaranteed ... no question ...

CC
The best compact professional mixer for you choose.
Chris Chen 06.10.2018
I have been looking for a compact,full function mixer for a long time,until I meets Midas M 32R.
Offering 16 faders,16 XLR inputs with the midas pro series preamps in such a compact size make Midas M 32R so popular. The fader feel solid and accurate, which is best for long time use.The interface looks good and user-friendly.Sends on fader function make you feel good when you add FX in mixer, you can rapidly set the volumn on send using fader.
This product still has some drawbacks. The sampling rate is only up to 48khz,which is not enough for high demand PA.When you make comparision with a 96khz mixer in a fairly consistent situation?use the same monitor, the same mixing setting,no FX use, just compare the mix of different tracks. It have significant lose some detail in high-frequency range while the 96khz mixer still have.
In summary,it is a good choice for you to choose Midas M 32R.

Midas Magic
Peter9357 02.07.2015
A bit fiddly to get to know, and a useless "manual" (aka B word?).
But once you learn the interface, and it doesn't take long, about a day by yourself,
you enter the magic of these desks.
The audience were more intrigued with the faders flying, than the band I was mixing last outing!!
The full M32 is just too big for tiny club stuff, but this baby, with Thomas's own flight case, is surely a bargain AND very well built.
Don't hang on to the 96K tag though..........
Works equally well at the available resolutions!!
