I own several Sire bases and they are all excellent. So my expectations of this bass were high. However, the first bass I received had awful fretwork. Very sharp frets all across the neck. Thomann were great and sent me another bass, which was better but still had a few sharp fret ends. Rather than send it back again, I sent it to a Luthier and had it properly set up and the fret ends sorted. And I have to say, this bass is incredible. It sounds amazing, it looks awesome. If I hadnt had the initial fret issues, I would be giving this 5 stars..
