My Incredible First 5-String Bass Experience, just love it!

I recently purchased the Sire Marcus Miller F10-5 string bass from Thomann, making it my first Sire instrument and my first 5-string bass overall. I am incredibly impressed with my purchase!

What I Love:
The bass is stunningly beautiful to look at. The craftsmanship is excellent, from the smooth satin finish to the comfortable neck and fretboard. The range of tones available from the Humbucker pickups and the preamp is highly versatile, providing a wide array of sounds suitable for many different styles. The included hard case is also a significant bonus, offering robust protection for the instrument.

Points for Improvement:
There are a couple of minor drawbacks: the body is slightly unbalanced, the bass control knob, not the pot, just spins and comes off easily and the instrument is slightly on the heavy side.

Conclusion:
Despite these small negatives, I am extremely pleased with the F10-5. It was a tough choice between this and the Cort A5 Plus SC Amber Open Pore, but I’m confident that I made the right decision. Thomann also provided an easy transaction and superb delivery, which added to the positive experience. I highly recommend this bass to anyone in the market for a versatile and high-quality 5-string instrument.

Super instrument

Premier achat d'un instrument de cette qualité, le son est incroyable, la jouabilité également et le look est d'enfer. L'instrument était bien régler a la réception.

Point négatif la potard volume/tonalité était tordu a la réception.
La basse est equilibré mais plutôt lourde comparer a ma V7.

La basse vaut largement son prix. Merci Sire!

Ein Traumteil mit kleinen Abstrichen

Bin mit diesem Bass von vier auf fünf Seiten umgestiegen. Erster Eindruck: tolle Optik, dann tolle Haptik und letztlich kann der richtig gut klingen, zumindest beim Üben. Im Bandbereich hebe ich ihn (leiider) noch nicht ausprobiert.
Der Hals ist sehr geschmeidig und flach, sehr angenehm. Es hat mir beim Umstieg sehr geholfen.
Allein passiv ist der Bass klanglich eine Wucht, aktiv kann man hier schon eine Wissenschaft daraus machen. Allles modern, druckvoll und gut balancierbar.
Aktiv hat mehr DB als passiv. Das finde ich schade.
Kritik: ich finde die Potis nicht sei cool und die Bridge, wenn auch sehr massiv, hat scharfe Kanten, was bei meinen Bässen zuvor nicht der Fall war. Bei meiner Spieltechnik mit Pleck ist es nicht cool, aber ich gewöhne mich um.
Mit dem Bass wandert es sich gut durch die Stilöistiken, und ich freue mich sehr auf den ersten Einsatz in der Band (bleibe sanft mit dem Bass im aktiven Modus, sonst Mörder). Ich freue mich....
Das Teil ist passiv allein schon klanglich kaufenswert....

Ostaessani tämän basson suhtauduin siihen pienellä ennakkoluulolla(Made in Indonesia ja hinta).No,ennakkoluulot romukoppaan ainakin tämän basson osalta.Työn jälki ja viimeistely on kunnossa.Kaula litteä,kevyt ja nopea soittaa.Soittimessa käytetyt puut ovat mielestäni hyvä yhdistelmä,jos hakee nopeasti syttyvää, erottelevaa ja tasapainoista soundia.Akustinen soundi hyvä.Jos harrastat släppäilyä niin tästä löytyy atackia.
Hieno ominaisuus on että voit käyttää bassoa myös passiivitilassa.
Olen harvoin käyttänyt mikkejä aktiivitilassa,koska kelakytkimillä saa passiivitilassakin muutettua soundia.
Jos haluaa muokata soundia enemmän,niin aktiivi kehiin.
Basso toimitetaan laadukkaassa Sire laukussa.
Olen todella tyytyväinen ostokseeni.
