Both with the Roadworx Thread Adapter 4 are really usefull for building all kind of camera/lightning setups. The only difference is that the Manfrotto is shorter with shorter threads and in some cases is the only possible option.

Nothing special. Soft mild steal non hardened.
way to expensive for what it is but if your in the metric world and need an 3/8" zoll screw you this might help
