Valuable component in an excellent MIDI control system

Very useful as a compact midi controller. I like the ingenious design enabling interlocking of modules in different configurations. Seems robust and well made. There are four pages of buttons enabling 64 control mappings in all. Thankfully there is a copy and paste function in the controller editor so you don’t have to enter every parameter every time when programming it. The programming options are practically endless. I only needed midi CC numbers. The online guidance is very comprehensive but would be easer to follow if there were more worked examples of basic midi applications. Some of the options (e.g. button behaviour such as toggle, latch etc.) are buried in drop down menus and aren’t immediately apparent. Once set up though it’s really good and is compact enough to sit on top of my Roland keyboard.

Geniales Konzept

Habe mir den BU16 als Erweiterung meines Controllers, der nur Drehknöpfe und Schieberegler hat geholt, damit ich auch normale Druckknöpfe benutzen kann. Das alleine wird der Sache nicht gerecht. Das geniale Konzept, sich seinen Kontroller quasi selbst und flexibel zusammen zu stellen finde ich großartig. Die einzelnen Einheiten können entsprechend den Anforderungen zusammengestellt und erweitert sowie umgestellt werden. Die einzelnen Einheiten werden grob magnetisch zusammengehalten und verbunden, so dass auch eine nur ein Netzteil/USB Anschluss für mehrere Geräte ausreicht. Ich habe das System einmal bei einem Elektronik Konzert im Einsatz gesehen und war begeistert. Falls ich in Zukunft also noch mehr Einheiten benötige, kann ich immer die entsprechenden dazu kaufen. Wirklich ein tolles Konzept. Die Verarbeitung ist solide und robust aus Metall. Wirklich gut.
