Little electro-acoustic bass with a big heart
Arby 1 10.03.2020
Started playing bass about a year ago but being quite a small person, I always struggled with a full size bass. At an open mic one evening, I played one of these and I knew straight away that I had to have one.
Not that loud acoustically (although OK for a quite jam) but when plugged in, volume and tone are both excellent!
It is a very tactile and playable instrument and the build quality is superb, far exceeding expectations for the bargain price, It even has an on-board tuner!
I am really please with this bass

V
great sound
Valterreis 14.10.2022
Very beautiful bass for its wood and finish.
The sound is well defined and louder than larger basses. It can be played unplugged easily, I just missed a control for the mids, even so it is very pleasing. It seems very robust and the electronics ok.
As a negative, I highlight that there are few string options on the market, in fact only from Daddario, as far as I know, which makes it expensive here in Brazil.
It could also have better access to the 14th fret.
Recommended product.

So short and yet so booming low
MauriceVdb 07.04.2025
A few years ago I suffered from a blocked nerve in my left elbow. As a result especially the little finger and also the ring finger of my right hand were hardly usable to play bass guitar, guitar or even ukulele. After surgery and a lengthy recovery - nerve fibers take time to repair themselves - I regained the strength back in my left pinky and ring finger - although they continue to feel a bit odd. But I noticed a stiff left shoulder and a sore left arm the day after a rehearsal or gig. So goodbye, longscale bass guitars.

I bought this bass while recovering from surgery. It is awesome. It has a super short scale, the same as a electric Gibson Les Paul. Very playable, even with the issues in my left hand. It sounds quite good unamplified, but as most acoustic basses, it performs better when aplified. This one does very well: It has incredible sustain when amplified. My specimen anyway.

One issue: when I struck the D string very firmly and let it ring out in the first five positions, there was an unwanted noise, as if the string was touching a fret somewhere. Logically, that would suggest the sixth fret was the culprit, but there were no problems with the other strings, and I couldn’t see the D string making contact with any fret either. I had the impression that the slot for that string in the nut had been filed too deep, but I wasn’t sure. Turns out, I’ve since replaced the strings with a new set (D’Addario Light Acoustic Bass GS Mini), and the issue is completely gone!

What a Cracker!
Jayner573 14.12.2021
This is by far my favourite bass, I’ve searched everywhere for an acoustic bass that is small enough for me without needing orangutan length arms to play! Sounds great acoustically for in the house and even better amped up! Gigged loads with this and I love it!
