Diese Flatwounds habe ich für meinen Höfner Contemporary Club Bass bestellt. Als ich den Bass vor ein paar Jahren (gebraucht) gekauft hatte, habe ich die damaligen HCT Flatwounds getestet und war sehr enttäuscht. Daher hatte ich jeweils die günstigen Höfner Roundwounds gespielt, die jeweils sehr gut funktioniert haben.
Für mich überraschend gab es jetzt diese neuen Steel-Flatwounds von Höfner zum fairen Preis. Ich bin nach dem ersten Spielen begeistert! Die Saiten passen alle sehr gut zusammen. Bislang war die E-Saite komplett anders als die ADG. Die Oberfläche ist absolut glatt geschliffen und spielt sich super.
Sie sind nicht ganz so dumpf im Klang und hören sich nach meinem Empfinden sehr gut an. Mal schauen, wie (und ob) sie sich auf die Dauer verändern.
Vermutlich habe ich meine neuen Lieblingssaiten gefunden!
