Perfect for those xxl cables
Nilo 11.01.2015
This is much less expensive than the Neutrik plugs and the quality is just as good. They are solidly-built, the contact points are large enough and they don't corrode. I have around 6 cables with these on for more than a year of very regular usage and none of them have shown any signal loss or deterioration.

They are also perfect for the Sommer XXL and those 7.0mm diameter cables. The cable fits snugly so it prevents damage when the cable gets pulled off by accident - which happens often enough during rehearsals or gigs. I use these exclusively for instrument connections now and I will struggle to find any other jacks of the same quality for the price.

A very high quality jack
Anonymous 10.02.2015
This is a very high quality jack plug. It looks fantastic on your pedalboard and really gives off a professional high quality air about it. The jack is easy to solder, weighty in the hand and passes audio signal in a transparent and high fidelity fashion. When coupled with the right quality cable, this jack should give you a product that is many orders of magnitude greater than products you can buy in the "premium" end of the market. Its nice that HICON offer such a professional product for the DIY market. Finally the integral rubber strain relief is an inspired and very welcome touch.

Not quite as depicted, but perfect for my needs anyway!
LiamT 08.06.2014
These are surprisingly high quality plugs for the price, and are much smaller than the angled neutrik plugs I was otherwise looking at. The rubber strain relief boot is removable with a bit of brute force if you're short on space, but otherwise it's a useful addition.

The picture is a bit different to the actual product, as the top of the barrel is actually square rather than rounded. It doesn't look as sleek as in the picture but that's not much a problem for me, functionality is key!

I'll definitely use these again, they're very easy to assemble and seem incredibly solid.

Strong
Cesar593 09.01.2015
This Hicon jack is very resistant and well built! Solderability is perfect and the construction is bulletproof! Bought a few of these jacks to make guitar cables to plug in pedal boards, because of their very strong construction: frequently there comes someone that steps on the pedalboard connections and ruins a jack, but with these Hicon jacks that doesn't happen, they are very resistant. Step on them, pull them, abuse them, they will witstand!

Great TS Plug
Ivica G. 29.12.2016
I order this Hicon Jack HI-J63MA01 in same order as many other (20 different models) plugs. I need for patchwork many of this so i decide to order many different manufactures (Neutrik, Adam Hall, Hicon, Amphenol, Rean..) and tehy different models to see and later decide which one will by in larger quantity. I must say that if you need good plug with angle look no further. Really this is maybe best plug for guitar and bass that i use for a cheap price...50% off Neutrik. I am decide to go with straith TS jack because its easier to connect in patchbay but if i need more plugs for guitar and bass i will by this one for sure..

Good quality Right-angle 1/4" jack plug at a reasonable price
studio3.08 22.01.2014
This Hicon jack plug is a good choice if you are looking for a good quality 1/4" right-angle plug at a lower price than the competition. It has a rubber sleeve that is removable if (like me) you use really thick instrument cables of 8-9mm. The cable crimp is sturdy enough for most uses, and the plug has a signal connector tab that is easy to solder to. It's a good-looking plug too, it looks more like a hi-fi connector than an instrument plug!
I have quite a few of these plugs, and I would recommend it.

Solid & well made TS jack plug. I use it with Sommer cable. It is my go to combination for guitar cables for few years and I have never destroyed one.

Great bang for the buck
tremblox 08.01.2023
A surprisingly cheap jack for the quality you get. Sleek, robust and reliable. I’ve had no issues with these jacks and use them interchangeably with Neutriks for my Sommer cables (instrument and board). I do like that they are lower profile than the Neutriks which saves me some board space in tight situations. My ears don’t detect any signal loss from them but then again I wouldn’t expect them to. Well recommended, and why pay more?
