MQ
Great Wah Pedal
Mon Q. 13.07.2019
Though I have not compared this pedal side-by-side with either a Dunlop or Vox Wah pedals, this is another great Harley Benton product that feels just as professional and well-made as the industry standards.

This pedal is heavy, solid, it gives you a good feel and you can rock it without any worries. Sound wise, I can compare it with the Wah sounds of two pedal boards I have owned (zoom and vox) and with the Line 6 M5 pedal (this emulates both Dunlop and Vox Wahs). The sound you can get with this unit is quite nice (even better if you consider the price). I would say it is more on the lines of the Dunlop Cry Baby than Vox (then again, I am not an expert). It is a great soulful Wah sound nonetheless. The frequency range of sound it affects is quite wide and it definetly suits my needs.

There are no settings or configurations available in this pedal. If that is what you look for, you may have to consider other options. If what you are looking for is ease of use, classic wah sound straight out of the box, do not look any further.

Pros:

Impressive build quality for the price—solid and stage-ready

True bypass and LED indicator help preserve signal clarity

Vintage-style tonal sweep with adjustable resistance

Stable, confidence-inspiring feel underfoot

Excellent value for players on a budget

Cons:

No Q-control or sweep range adjustment—offers a single fixed sweep curve

Large housing and weight may take up more pedalboard real estate

Exposed mechanism design may require occasional maintenance in dusty environments

Volume changes can occur during the sweep, especially at the extremes

Final Verdict:
The Harley Benton WP‑60 Wah is a standout option for anyone wanting classic wah tonal character with modern conveniences like true bypass and adjustable pedal feel. While it’s simple in control and lacks advanced adjustable parameters, its reliability, sound quality, and rugged build make it a top budget choice. Perfect for both vintage tone seekers and working guitarists who need a dependable stage pedal.

Sounds like a wah

I am terrible at using this, but it is still so fun to just mess around with it and release my inner Hammett. Sounds good, built well. Definitely worth the price
