Buying it as an upgrade from FR Special for one of my guitars, I have to say - what a massive upgrade it is. Tuning stability, flutters, I mean - FLUTTERS - , build quality and materials are peak. I have so much fun using this, it's almost like I had a fix bridge before. Perfectly comparable to a FR Original, but at a fraction of the price.

Ich habe das Gotoh gegen das bisher verbaute, lediglich lizensierte Floyd Rose auf meiner Grass Roots GMM-60 (KH-2) ausgetauscht, da der Sound vorher nicht wirklich durchsetzungsstark war.
Es ist erstaunlich, wie viel mehr an Sound durch den Austausch rauskommt. Es klingt unverstärkt lauter, etwas brillianter und hat deutlich mehr Sustain. Im direkten Vergleich mit meiner Custom Shop ESP KH-2 von 1992 kann ich tatsächlich keinen Unterschied feststellen.

Gotoh fertigt mit dem GE1996-T das meiner Meinung nach beste Floyd Rose-Style Tremolo, zu einem unschlagbaren Preis.
Durch die eine grade Messerkante stellen Toleranzen bei den Bolzen kein Problem dar. Die Schrauben innerhalb der Bolzen selbst sind eine gute Idee, um die Bolzen wirklich zu fixieren.
Die Befestigung desTremolo-Arms ist ebenfalls besser umgesetzt und hat unter Verwendung 0 Spiel.
Insgesamt fühlt es sich durch die Form der Saitenreiter auch angenehmer unter dem Handballen an.
Von mir eine absolute Kaufempfehlung.
