Recently purchased this model and my happiness was sadly turned into frustration. All in all the guitar seemed fine and in good shape after shipping. After playing it for a bit I noticed that the bridge pickup was almost twice as quiet than the neck pickup. While trying to set it up I also ran into problems with intonation on the low E string - the saddle would not go far enough for the string to intonate properly. Thinking that it was my inability and lack of experience I took my guitar to a professional tech.
The guitar tech identified that the bridge pickup indeed wasn`t giving the correct output and had to resolder it for it to start working properly. On top of that he informed me that there was still lacquer on the frets that hadn`t been cleaned off after spraying the neck. He didn`t comment further on the intonation issue, but simply said that he solved that as well.
The guitar as a whole sounds and plays good, but this was an unwelcome experience. A pickup not working properly is a major QC problem that is something I would not expect from a brand such as Fender, not to mention the other issues.
I would caution anyone purchasing this or similar models to be wary of such problems and to be ready to take their new guitar for a proper setup
