Whilst you are paying somewhat more for this than other after-market replacement pick-guards, you get exactly what you pay for! The guard comes with a protective film so there will be no annoying little marks/scratches on it when you install it. The triple laminate construction is really tough and the angled edges, showing the white pinstripe, really make a difference. All screw holes were 100% precise to the existing ones on my Jazz bass, so no messing around as I have experienced when I foolishly bought inferior quality products. The design really complemented the overall look of my bass, stylish and contemporary! Don't waste your hard earned cash on anything less than Fender original spares! Highly recommended.

Habe das Pickguard für meinen Fretless-Jazzbass aus japanischer Fender-Produktion vom Anfang der 90er Jahre gekauft, weil mir das weiße Original zum schwarzen Korpus nie recht gefallen hatte. Das Ersatzteil kam trotz des Preises ohne Schrauben (ggf. also mitbestellen, Art.-Nr. 148695). Im Bereich der Ausschnitte für Halsende und Poti-Abdeckung waren kleinere Fräs- und Schleifarbeiten erforderlich; 6 der 10 Bohrlöcher passten (einigermaßen), bei vier Bohrungen waren leichte Versetzungen bzw. Erweiterungern erforderlich. Der Bass wirkt jetzt um einiges edler - aber angesichts des eigentlich unangemessenen Preises würde ich die Prozedur wohl nicht wiederholen.

Pour une Fender US american standard Jazz Bass, j' ai dû légèrement forcer pour le placer, je ne sais pas si c'est réellement bon la pression crée entre le manche et la plaque de contrôle une fois le tout vissé. (faudrait peut etre que je la lime légèrement).
Sinon qualité de la plaque irreprochable ! Et superbe effet :)
Thomann très efficace pour la livraison, comme toujours.
