Iconic indeed!

As soon as I plugged the amp into my V30 cab, I was blown away from the monstrous sound this amp produces. The EL34 provide a "warmer" sound than the 6L6 which actually gives the amp more versatility, at least for my playing style and sound preference. For the price, this must be the best amp in the market right now! A bargain for sure!

Viel Amp fürs Geld!

Nach nun drei Monaten im Proberaum (an 4x12 V30) bin ich immer noch begeistert von dem Amp. Die "Hasenstalloptik" ist sicher diskussionswürdig, aber alles ist sauber verarbeitet. Eingangsstufe und Phaseninverter sind in Transistortechnik, die Gainstufen und Endstufe aber "Röhre pur", sogar mit Markenröhren ausgestattet. Kanal 1 ist tatsächlich als Clean-Kanal nutzbar, Kanal 2 bietet Gain bis zum Abwinken. Mir gefällt die Zerrstruktur, die immer ein wenig "rotzig" und nicht so arg glatt ist, immer etwas Wärme hat. Der Schub in den Tiefmitten ist gewaltig, das Rauschen dank Noisegate gut im Griff. Hier hat Fender/EVH wirklich ein tolles Gerät entwickelt, das sich auch vor deutlich teureren Amps aus meinem Fuhrpark nicht verstecken muss. Einzig ein "Bright-Switch" für Kanal 1 wäre noch wünschenswert, um es dort auch dann clean perlen zu lassen, wenn man in Kanal 2 einen eher höhenarmen Sound fährt. Im www schrieb jemand "It's a zero bullshit amp, it sounds great and it just works". Dem kann ich nur zustimmen! (und er wiegt 17,7kg, die Angabe bei thomann stimmt also nicht)

Pour le prix, la housse n’est pas fournis, dommage de l’abimer des les premiers transport.

Pas de fixations qui correspondent avec leur baffles 2x12, étonnant et dommage surtout pour une baffle qui s’incline.
