Ein Kompressor ist, meine ich als Amateur, immer etwas Subjektives. Ich suchte einen, der zum einen der etwas schwachbrüstigen Pico Drums Gehör verschafft, zum anderen aber auch die anderen Oszillatoren im Rack vor oder hinter dem Mixer „verschlimmbessern“ kann. Da kam ich nicht sofort auf den Erica-Kompressor, weil ich das Modul für einzig für Drumsound dediziert gehalten habe. So kann man sich täuschen. :)

Für den Hersteller nicht ganz untypisch, bietet das Modul klanglich zum einen ein mittelaggressives Lösungsmittel, zum anderen ist es in seinen Grenzen immer irgendwie „artig“ – zwar kann er die Pico Drums hübsch auf Backsteinformat backen, andererseits so richtig Fieses habe ich damit noch nicht hinbekommen. Für gemeine Flunder und an die Zimmerdecke geklatschtes Röhren wären doch andere Adressen zuständig.

Aber genau aus diesem Grund mag ich Erica Synths.
